grapes and yoghurt are two things we buy less of.

we make better use of our freezer too, about 80% of its contents are yellow stickered bargains.

I forgot..use distilled malt vinegar in 5L containers from local cash and carry via grocer friend of OH's for cleaning floors rather than branded products.

Just quit buying sweeteners for health reasons so that will save money, also quit drinking alcohol (which won't save much),

I don't eat corned beef it smells almost as bad as tuna, but haslet at deli counters is pretty cheap.

Salad cream is not a premium product, it tastes nothing like the mayo it purports to resemble LOL. Very vinegary. For some reason OH likes it tho - and mushy peas !!

I am terrible and shops must hate me cos I don't buy anything unless it is on offer, a bargain or yellow-stickered! They can't usually trick me into buying stuff I don't want but I do buy stuff I don't need as don't need ANYTHING apart from milk, yogurt and veggies for the next year (oh and probably catfood as they will need feeding too)!

I do stock up on offers esp Lidl weekend deals. If I think something can be bought cheaper elsewhere then elsewhere I go! We eat what is a good deal or we don't have it. The kids are used to that now! :).

Branded soup. Over a pound a tin. I used to like a soup for lunch, but l cam buy it in the work canteen freshly made for 45p a portion, as much as l hate buying lunch. Only buy value tuna, and cheese when it's on offer, same with yoghurts. And chicken/meat and prawns. You have to be so savvy these days to make the budget stretch.

Not sure if we have cut out anything completely but I always buy cereal that is on offer for £1 or thereabouts. Always buy cheese thats on a multibuy offer and it always gets used so no problem. Generally buy the best value joint of meat but find we are eating much less meat and more beans. I've been cooking dried beans in the slow cooker and freezing as its the cheapest way and my kids and DH like refried beans, bean salads and bean chilli so its just as well!

Always buy washing powder when on offer for 10p a wash or less and buy lots of it. Make use of vouchers so I got bottles of Lenor fab con for 25p each, have a stash of those. Still have a stash of Dove anti deo from when it was on offer with a voucher and multibuy discount for 5p each lol

Those are the main things I do, we buy coffee pods for the Dolce Gusto machine, those work out expensive so we have to ration them or use our other filter machine.

Have to say I dont find baked beans expensive, there is often an offer on Branston beans, still have a few of those and they will be on offer next w/e in Lidl I think for 4 for £1.

Fresh fruit is something I struggle with, tend to just buy bananas, apples and then any fruit that is in the reduced section at Tesco. I bought some very cheap strawberries and made strawberry and banana muffins, also bought some cheap blueberries but scoffed them straight away lol

Rib of beef on the bone - just about the only cut worth roasting - has become so expensive I just refuse to buy it.

I caught a radio programme recently where they were interviewing the head of the Irish equivalent of the NFU, who was rubbing his hands over high beef prices. That rather fed my impression that the price rises are more manipulated than being caused by genuine pressures on producers.

I've stopped buying Corned beef, Branston pickle (£1.70 a jar????) and a lot of branded biscuits except when they are on special offer as I think over £1 is far too much for them.
I haven't bought full price beef(except mince), branded bread, fresh cakes or ready meals for years, only RTC'ed.
