Oh dear, struck a nerve with BK,s 2012 employee of the year did I, just goes to prove a point that BK still likes to keep up with the people he has ripped off over the past few years. Personal attempts at character assassination show your true colours. There are a number of people who know the truth about the "sub standard" finish I was asked to put into that property by issueing 2 very different work schedules to myself and the house owner and then to blame me for sub standard work. If it was so sub standard then why didnt anyone return the certificates from QUALIFIED electricians etc I sent to Middleton with my payment requests. Be careful with that nose Pinocchio it is starting to obscure your view of the real world.0 -
Well, of course the companies going to tell you they're perfect if you're a customer, and a company like that shown on Watchdog will evidently have no qualms about lying to you.
Additionally, as you say, one experience cannot tell you everything about everyone else's. In which case, why does your nice experience mean everyone else's would have been also? Why can yours not be the anomaly, which you claim the *multiple* negative experiences were? In fact, with the poor experiences described here, AND those described in Watchdog, surely it makes sense that your experience is atypical?
And even if there are others who have been served well, it does not justify the lack of response/refund, etc that those here describe, and the results that were shown on Watchdog.
You must realise Anna that given all of this, your determination that Brendan Kiely is a wonderful man with a wonderful company- and scathing attacks on anyone who disagrees with you- points to one of two things:
a) You are a stubborn, irrational and angry.
b) You are in the employ of Mr Kiely himself.
Oh, and the reason people are posting here is because of lot of people come to this forum when they're considering purchasing property, and this thread serves to warn them against dealing with Brendan Kiely. And before you say it's because everyone who posts here is jealous, please explain what those at Watchdog have to be jealous of? because they made the exact same point.If it rains, it rains.

Substandard work comes from substandard materials.
I did a job and the whole house was full of mold from condisation and damp so a DPC is needed right??? Wrong just paint with stain stop until the tenants get in, then in 2 months when it all shows through again blame it on the tenants for not opening windows!! upstanding pillars society?? Jealous?? Oh yeah there's nothing more than I want in life than leave a house with mold running all through it with kids in the house!!

Oh Anna you are so delusional I have written evidence ( available to anyone who wants a copy ) of the get out of paying clause used not to pay me which states that due to the house owners not paying their retention fee I would not be getting payment for my "sub standard" work and to chase the house owners for my money.
Sorry it doesnt work like that with us poor punters with integrity my "sub standard" sub contractors got paid for the work they contributed out of my own pocket. I can take the hit more than they can. Now Christmas is here again and we pass the first anniversary of the nice people at Middleton, who I feel sorry for, having to lie to people cannot be good for the soul, not returning telephone calls or actually admitting that anyone of importance is in the office or has finished the meeting they have been attending for week after week and are so busy they forget to sign cheques after faithful promises to do so. If you are so close to the company you know who I mean as do most others with dealings with any of the companies still trading.0 -

Clearly Brendan Kiely (Google the name if you don't believe me ...) is a fine, upstanding & honourable businessman of impeccable ethics and business practices (Google Brendan Kiely if you don't believe me - there's quote a few bits of evidence out there...: Other fine search engines are available offering other results...).
& clearly the BBC's Watchdog "Rogue traders" documentary of him (see..

Hopefully many other people will continue to post here with other good news on subjects related to Mr Kiely so that the positive truth about Mr Kiely gets the publicity & Google ranking it deserves...

I can confirm that their have been occasions where Brendan's staff have only taken a deposit off of only one prospective tenant to secure a house. What better evidence can there be of a benevolent businessman he truely is0 -
Are these buffoons still at it...I asked them last time to sue me and they bottled it..They have been shown as scammers on national tv...And a quick google search proves it...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
