there is something in scotish legislation which means they have to accept them but as nothing similar exists in england (possibly wales too) they take cash or debit only

I thought that a prepaid card was a debit card and not a credit card.

it costs a fortune to take cards and they work on modest profits (me dad teld me so)
so get the old bunce out and pay with that instead:D

surely if they take debit cards though they would still have to pay the merchant fee and fee for having the machines, so why not take credit cards too? maybe I misunderstand how they work but I would have thought the machines don't differentiate/charge more whether you pay by credit or debit card.
