As as alien living in the US I've never had extra checks in the 200+ internal flights I've taken.

    Thats because you've been micro-chipped ;)

I think it may because I now spell everything without a "U". I'm "one of them" :)

ah, but aluminium or aluminum? that's the big test.

I have been here 11 years and it's still aluminum to me. ;)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Even if you change terminals, you won't need to go through security again. Assuming different terminals; there will be a way to get from one to the other (foot/bus/train) without leaving the secure area. As you're flying with the same airline for both legs, it's highly likely that you'll arrive and depart from the same terminal anyway, and your luggage will be checked through to your final destination (assuming you're checking it).

FYI, it's common on internal US flights for there to be a fee to check a bag, which is why so many people just go with handluggage. The airlines are much less stringent about what counts as handluggage, so most (if not all) people, will have a roller-suitcase, AND a massive bag which counts as the 'personal item'.

As for a link to e-ticketing / check-in / boarding passes etc, you'll find it all on the main page of USAirways.com. You won't be able to check-in until you're within 24 hours of your flight, but you will be able to pick your seats if you haven't done so already.

When it comes to check-in, you can do that online, but if you don't have access to a printer, you can print that at the airport.

Enjoy San Francisco - it's one of my favourite cities!

(Sorry if any of that teaches you to suck eggs.)

I've not fallen in to the speaking part yet. Although a couple of times during sporting events I've uttered the word(s) "D-Fence"
