As we had to call for the SOE and as the records are vague, they requested that we send them. To be honest I'd feel better and more in control sending them and being able to keep tabs.

The employer is a little flaky... Hence the situation.

    Hi there,

Well, it's been a few weeks since I posted this and thought I had better explain what's happened in case others have the same issues.

I called HMRC yesterday for the first follow up after sending the documents nearly 3 weeks ago, and after being on hold for a record time of 20 minutes (previously averaging 50 mins...) We were informed that the Statement Of Earnings was sent in the post to us!!! We were in disbelief... It has now all been resolved and my partners records are up to date!

As a bonus, there is also a cheque from them for overpaid tax!:rotfl:

The mortgage process can now continue! Thank you all for your input and for taking the time to answer the questions. I hope that if someone else is going through the torment and worry we have been that this may show there is light at the end of the tunnel and that HMRC can be useful if you pressure them.

    Legoman.
