    Hiya

    Please help an idiot :)

I've been trying to find a way of downloading a ringtone for my new samsung d900i and tearing my hair out!! lol Managed to get a tune from comp on but ringtones are impossible. As u can guess i'm sadly not very technical.

Can anyone help please?? Available ringtones are awful and i hate the phone ringing.

Thanks to all if help available :)

  • You could buy one from your mobile networks WAP site. I only buy direct from my network – that way I don’t get spammed! Or are you wanting an actual song as a ring tone? You could select one of your MP3s you’ve managed to get onto your phone and use it as your ringtone.

  • Another thing i can suggest is trying samsung's wap or web site. When i had a sony-e their wap site had loads of free downloads, ring tones, message tones, wallpapers, yadda yadda. Nokia have some but they're all a bit pants! Ref your quiet mp3s, depending on what you're using to encode them, you may be able to change the volume of it when you take it from cd or when you copy it over onto your phone, it's usually in the volume equalling settings.

  • Apparently you get some free points when you register to use on stuff. No idea what the cost of ringtones is in points though! Good luck!
