Yep. Can't say they are my thing - but each to their own! If I was to have anything it would be something like a few flowers or shells.

We are having a sloth family as our toppers. Sums us up!
I think your cake is beautiful, and certainly doesn't need a topper if you don't want one.
If you do.. what about something like this

both would give space so wouldn't detract from the detail on the top of the cake, and the second would be super easy to diy0 -
our theme was Butterflies with a hint of elegance so on the top of our cake we had butterflies with feathers. Here is a pic

We aren't having toppers because the cake has a quaich (scottish loving cup) on the top.
All around the base though we are having little minitures of our animals made (2 dogs, 6 cats). Our animals are our babies lol and I was gutted that we could have at least the dogs involved in the wedding so for us this was the next best thing
