    Johanna, what a cake - wow!

    Megan, I can't see your pic via that link, sorry. Couldn't spot it in your FB gallery either.

    Thanks Jacqu, I think we'll prob go without. Love that laser cut topper though!

    We're getting a personalised topper made. It's pretty expensive (£160ish) but is made using photos of us, wearing the same clothes as on the day and will have our doggy on too. I'm also making it slightly humorous (at OHs expense!).

    It's a lot of money but will be a nice keepsake.

    I agree with the others - I wouldn't have anything distracting that cake. And if you are having anything like flowers creeping up the side they would have to be really delicate ones to not detract from the delicateness of the cake decoration.

    We're not having a topper - simply cause there wouldn't really be anywhere to put them. We're having individual portions of (homemade) cheesecake... think this:

    That cake is lovely OP.

    We're having a two tier plain iced fruit cake with this on top:

    I'm going to paint the brides hair dark brown to match my own.

    I was going to ask the florist to make a cake topper but OH picked this instead. Since he leaves everything up to me I thought I had better let him pick something.

    Wow, love your cake Jo :) And love seeing what everyone else is having! I didn't really know what to put, but as we are having toppers I put yes - something quirky!

    We haven't really decided about our cake, only that we're probably having two, one in the US and one in the UK. And I think it'll be quite a simple cake too, although some of the ones I've looked at from the cake place in Vegas are mad!

    We do have the toppers though, my mum bought us these at the National Wedding show :D ;

    Love them! They're so pretty, plus they pack flat and can be re-used... Perfect :)

    We did think about having our cake toppers made to look like us.... ie. fiance in a Norwich City shirt (lol) but the prices are just astronomical. I can't believe people actually pay that much! In the end we have decided to get our florist to make a very small decoration, perhaps three flowers just to lay on top, and then also on the cake table I am going to lay my bouquet too!
    Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j
