Oh i wish id read this thread earlier... Glad it all went well CTC... madame foners is a fabby place.. a bit pricey, but they know their onions and are really good at making you comfy... M&s measured me after id lost loads of weight... they told me i was a 40a. i bought a bra there and everyone told me my boobs looked saggy! so i went to madame foners, got measured, am actually a 32d, and boy, are my puppies in great shape now!You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
*I have done reading too*

Great stuff, I got to House of Fraser/Debenhams etc for mine now but got measured up and showed how to get proper fitting ones at Sadies, sometimes o back there for them as they are nice but even more than at HofF etc. Once you know how it should fit should be able to get ones yourself that fit right, and hopefully save money, as you're lucky and in 'normal' sizes. I can only get mine from specialist shops so £59 isn't an usual amount for me.One day I might be more organised...........

also when i got home hubby said........well give us a look then..... so i puled up my top and give him a flash:D
and he said £29. for a bit of lace..... my tank tape would have been a lot cheaper:eek:
i should have told him he could use the tank tape himself on his 'man boobs':D
but seriously..... i would recommend going to be measured properly..... after listening and taking all your advice.....dont be embaressed like i was was.... as you said bargin rzl.. they see boobs every day.....and diff body shapes......
they were middle aged sa's so felt more at ease..... not being dis-respectfull to younger sa's but sometimes you feel more relaxed.....
they had a lovely all in one teddy there.... with underwire bra part... and really firm and stretchy.... that was £40... so might go back and try that in a few weeks....as that might will even out my lumps and bumps... so maybe give me a bit more confidence with new clothes....
also i will take my bra into the bath with me to wash....
and finally on the plus side.. madame forners are an independant retailer.... so ..happy with that too...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Edit: M&S is particularly bad in its sizing, as it is non standard - for example there is no such thing as a FF cup in M&S, it goes straight from F to G!
i was once measured in m&s as a 42b i went to gossard and was measured at a 38ddbe loyal, be loud, be cas, be proud

On breakfast BBC news this morning they were talking about bras coming in half sizes but more interesting for you ladies was that they went to 3 different shops got measured and ended up with 3 different sizes, it was mentioned that the really top bra shops do not use tape measures but have experts working for them that can tell you your size just by looking at you.

btw I don't work for M&S or have shares in themJust that because they're one of the biggest high street chains and have had a reputation for fitting bras there will be millions of women who've been measured in M&S over the years so it's not surprising that they get it wrong sometimes.

true i agree there isnt a huge amount of difference there but i was told in the gossard shop where i got measured that the middle bit (where the wires meet) is supposed to sit against your skin in the m&s bra you could park a bottle down between the skin and the bar,
(lovely and cooling in a nightclub thou, was handy for carrying bottles too when my hands were full of other stuff)be loyal, be loud, be cas, be proud

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: yeah but could you drink from them without hands
and yes the wire should sit against your skin - a lot of women are told the wrong size it's just that it's not just in M&S they crop up a lot on the badly fitted stories just because of the number of women who go through their doors0
