I was going to mention to handwash only. My bra fitter told me that 1 machine wash is equivalent to something like 80 handwashes. I just take my bra in the bath with me for washing and hang it on the radiator when i get out. Works fine and is dry for the morning if i need it.

Triker if you measured yourself it's likely to be a rough guess but not all that accurate - on the measurements you gave you're a 42aa but I bet you didn't do the tape tight round under your boobs and if you're anything like me then there's a bit of sag when you're not wearing a bra so the cup size will be underestimated. Mu guess is that you'll end up losing a couple of inches on your back measurement and gain a couple on your cup size. A bit of lift and separate and you'll feel a whole lot better about yourself and the ladies who meaure won't care a jot what you look like they'll do what they can to get you the best bra for you. My mate who's a biker babe works for M&S on their lingerie and they've got a lot better now about measuring and will go with how you look as much as what's on the tape but do be prepared to try on a dillion bras and in several different sizes.
I find I'm wide round the edges but don't come out much out front so it's a pain to find bras that don't look unfilled so I only wear the t-shirt bras that have preformed cups (gives me a bit extra as well as giving a lovely shape) but everyone has their favourite shape and style.
Good luck with it and don't get too impatient and throw in the towel!0 -
I completely agree with what Bargain Rzl said about not using a department store, they just don't seem to be nearly as professional or helpful as independent shops. I hope the one you are going to this afternoon is lovely, it looks it. I wore 36D as measured and fitted by M&S and/or Debenhams for years. Went to Bravissimo and am a 32F, I have never felt so comfotable in my whole life!
I get measured at Bravissimo now, buy 1 or 2 bras, then if I want them in a different colour or want matching knickers, I go on ebay and buy them (BNWT of course!!) normally cheaper than in the store.
A well fitted bra makes you feel like you can take on the world!0 -
I`m sorry if this is a silly question !, but to get measured in bravisimmo do you need big boobs , or will they tell you your size if smaller than what they sell???
thanks in advance

Bravissimo only sell D cup upwards, so if you are flat as a pancake there's probably not much they can do for you. On the other hand if you think you're a B or C cup you may well be found to be a D or DD at Bravissimo - so I'd experiment with getting fitted there anyway
Edit: they always seem to have loads of D and DD bras in the clearance sale - I suspect because the people who come to Bravissimo to be fitted are those who KNOW they are over a D cup, and they all end up being told they're actually an F or whatever, so the D's go to waste!Operation Get in Shape

I couldn't agree more strongly with Bargain Rzl. I was fitted at M&S when I was about 14 and spent many years wearing the wrong sized bra as a result. My breast looked awful, I couldn't wear underwired bras, or nice tops because of the bulginess and worry about the bra showing over my neckline, I got sweat rashes and back pain and it really undermined my confidence. I thought for years it was all down to having big boobs and I was actually considering breast reduction surgery when I went for another fitting (in Clements) to get a bra to go under a special dress and had a total revelation. I get my bras from Bravissimo now.
If you have a small cup size then it is probably no good being fitted at Bravissimo but I would still dis-recommend Marks and Spencer. Based on my experience I don't trust their fittings at all and though people with smaller breasts are generally much happier with them I think it is probably because poor fitting doesn't matter so much in smaller cup sizes rather than because they are better at fitting them.0
