I wonder whether I could insist on my salary being paid directly to me rather than to the banks? After all, it is my earnings.

Doesn't the money go to yur account anyway, so it is being paid to you? The only ways that I can see to avoid the bank altogether would be to have the company pay to a gift card or pay in cash. I don't think many people would want to work for an organization that thinks that is a smart way to run a business.

I get paid on 22nd of every month but have answered 3rd week on poll. I absolutely hate it.

I want my wages/salary in cash, after deductions, each week - that's the way it used to always be. We were never in debt. I despise the banks having so much power over our earnings.

I would love to start a 'cause' about this. Also, I wonder whether I could insist on my salary being paid directly to me rather than to the banks? After all, it is my earnings.

The truck acts were (I believe ) superceded by the payment of wages act.

I'm monthly, 28th or before if that's a weekend. Other half is 4-weekly.

We have a standing order moving her wages elsewhere whenever she gets paid, and one moving it back on the 28th.

Works out nice, cos at the end of the year, there's a whole 4-weeks of her salary in our spare current account. Not only that, but 12 months of the £5 rewards that Halifax kindly give us for allowing them to store our spare cash!

4 weekly for me. So every payday, I spend about 5 mins on my internet banking calculating which DDs are being taken for the next 4 weeks. Then I round it up to the next £5, then transfer the difference of my pay to the total DDs to my everyday account. My DDs are spread out evenly throughout the month, so I miss out on a DD each payday.

Like December as I get paid twice and the first one misses the DD for the mortgage and rent!

I get paid last Thursday of the month (NHS) and OH gets paid weekly on a Friday from work, and his DLA is every 4 weeks. Generally works well as I tend to get paid around the sort of time that OH's car loan goes out and leaves him skint, so I'll pay for the petrol that week. SO's (we dont do DD) are spread out nicely throughout the month except this week when mortgage, elec and gas have all gone out together but that doesnt usually happen.

The 18th of the month for me.

I used to be weekly so the transition was hard to get used to.
