Hubby gets paid weekly, but that has only been for the past 18 months - since most of our DD's are set up for the 1st of the month, I save all the weekly money during the month and deposit it in the current account for the 1st.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I get paid on 25th each month. But they have this bloody wierd adjustment where if the 25th is a Saturday we get paid on Friday, but if the 25th is a Sunday we get paid on the Monday (!!!!!!?),
DH supposedly gets paid the last working day of each month, but as it's a small company and the PA does the wages, they are done the same day she processes them so sometimes it's a couple of days before, sometimes the last day - frustrating not to have a definite dateEmergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -
Last working day of the month for me, except for December where we get paid the week before Xmas which personally I don't care for because it messes things up.0

and a confused pay schedule can cause havoc if it's out of kilter with your bills.[/FONT]
So if people are struggling it may be worth speaking to the relevant organisation and seeing if you can get your payment date changed.0 -
I used to work for a company that paid on the last Thursday of every month, unless Thursday was the last day of the month in which case they paid on the Thursday before ... Yeah, that was real easy to keep track of!
These days I get paid weekly, which means I need a spreadsheet listing all my monthly and annual bills with the former divided by 4.3333 and the later by 52, with those figures then all added together to produce a figure for a weekly standing order out of my current account into a savings account so I can cover them all out of that as they fire off. (And yet there are people in my organisation who resist strenuously any suggestion of changing to monthly pay! Even though it would save the company $LARGE_AMOUNT and, based on past performance, they'd share it with us. <sigh>)0 -
I get paid on 22nd of every month but have answered 3rd week on poll. I absolutely hate it.
Yep. Similar to me. And even after being here for almost 2 years (expatriate), still can't get used to this once-monthly paycheck bulls***. :undecidedListing debts to help keep my eyes on the prize

Every 4th Friday, same as last couple of employers.
Means I have a 'month' each year where I don't pay rent or bills, so is used for my annual treat to myself.0 -
End of the month but seems never later than 30th. DH gets paid on or before 24th.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0
