DavidHM wrote:Sorry, I got my figures very wrong because I keep thinking it's an 02, not an 03. They should be £3,350 and £2,820 respectively - a bit higher than I thought although there's a lot of mileage adjustment going on there, perhaps more than some buyers would be willing to make.
Great, then my offer of £2,700 will be v reasonable, even taking into account the steering rack & tyres! I know I could get more selling privately, problem is time/hassle of getting it fixed, new tyres, valeted etc, taking people on test drives... if I could do a straight swap and end up paying in the region of £3,400 for brand new car I'll be v happy. I think I will go to Glass's guide and print of the PX figures to back me up even more - thanks again David for that!! I owe you a  if I can manage to pull this off!!0 -
Don't print out my figures or pay for Glass's - get them yourself for free from the Vauxhall website.

David, I never knew you could get 'free' Glass's guide valuations on the Vauxhall website - thanks for that!
Airhostess - I reckon the dealer may come up trumps for you. Remember it is the 'price to change' tha counts. If he comes out slightly higher than dealdrivers price but will take your car for £2700 it may be worth considering. It removes the hassle and expense of fixing the old Ka.0 -
I do hope airhostess is going to come back and give us the same courtesy of beating her dealers quote as she's taking ours to them!!!“Official Company Representative

DealDrivers, am sure she will!! Do you take part exchanges though?0

Are you DealDriver of *the* DealDriver website??? Or is someone having me on?...
If it is really you, do you PX cars??????:D You can read the whole sad story above...0 -
Spoke to the Ford dealer, who uhhmmed and ahhhed for 30 mins over the DD quote, and vanished off at least twice to 'speak to his boss' and 'call his MD' only to come back to me to admit that he couldn't come anywhere *near* the Deal Driver price, let alone offer me anything sensible for the old car. Despite me putting my debit card on the table!!

So I have booked in the old Ka to get the work it needs done and will sell it privately, and go to Deal Driver!0 -
Yes, it really was us..we have permission to post here and offer pricing and spec' advice...and sorry..we're in the middle of an office relocation so our access to the net has is sporadic for a few days whilst we go through the mayhem of moving. We look forward to your order!“Official Company Representative

Does the KA style come with remote CL as well as EW and CD player? The Ford website says yes but other sites don't mention remote CL.
Also if I bought one and in 2 year time wanted to trade in for another new model what would I realistically get for a 2 year old car either private or part ex
