Sambucus nigra: when I write a few lines in a forum without going into detail it's easy to take things out of context. Let's just say that I don't think it's healthy for him to play 14 hours a day.
In regards to my surfing, it's certainly my main thing, but keep in mind I also walk the dog twice, watch tv, help out with the baby, read books and play games as well - occasionally.
When I write a few lines in a forum, it's easy to take things out of context. When I mean is - why is it ok for you to do something, and not for him? If it's your main thing, and you do other things like walk the dog and help with the baby - well, he hasn't got a baby yet has he, and presumably it isn't his dog. So - in his eyes you have double standards here.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Sambucus nigra: I see what you are saying, but I presume most people have 'a main thing' and not do a different thing on each day of the week, in which case, how can I possibly win? You didn't mention the other things I mentioned such as reading books and TV btw - which he could well do.
Lara44: that's good advice. I keep thinking I should do more excercise but don't really feel like it to be honest. And I don't really consider walking the dog excercise, but I guess it's better than nothing.
You are spot on with point 4. I do find it hard making friends when I'm down. I think I manage to hide it pretty well, but I guess over a period of time, people probably notice. And people do seem to favour being friends with the 'happy jolly' guy to the 'staring at the floor' guy.
In terms of hobbies I think my wife should probably attend something before I do, as I'm already away from home 50 hours a week due to work.0
