Purify naturally scam

  • How this product is still being promoted is beyond belief. FDA warnings, Court Judgements, false claims and dubious company ownership are a recipe for disaster.

FDA in 6th December 2011 banned the sale of “homeopathic” and OTC hCG diet products and declared them fraudulent and illegal.

None of these claims are allowed to be made under the FDA warning letter but they are still doing so, this is possibly the reason why the company has been “relocated” to the UK. It would be far harder for the FDA to go after the company again if they are based in the UK, however the Office of Fair Trading are catching up with the FDA in this area so hopefully it won’t be too long before they get shut down again.

One brave lady, Christine Wike has brought a class action lawsuit that has been settled in the Los Angeles Superior Court by Judge Johnson. Anyone who fell for the scam between December 13 2006 and February 9 2012 is entitled for full refunds for the product.

WE CAN ALL DO THIS IF WE FAIL GETTING OUR MONEY BACK

I HAVE THE LINK TO THE CASE IN USA BUT AS NEW USER AM NOT ALLOWED TO POST IT
  • Have just been made aware of this 'scam' so have cancelled debit card and informed bank, have tried to contact company themselves on the numbers given on the invoices but all I have had after the original salutation is music
  • Hey finally got thro to 'company' only took 20 mins ! an american gentleman answered my call. I explained that I wanted to cancel the order due to advice from a GP I WAS TOLD THAT HE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A VERY GOOD GP. I also asked them not to debit my account again, he said you have cancelled your order mam why would we be debiting your account, anyone saying that we would are knuckleheads . I now await MY email confirmation I will keep you informed
  • called this morning and yes! finally got to speak to someone, I explained everything and told them that my bank NatWest is investigating it as fraud. asked the gentleman to cancel anything on my name and that I have send there product with registered mail. He said no problem I will cancel your contract and yes everything is cancelled he said OK.
after 2 minute I called back because I wanted to speak to someone else than a call centre staff, and ask them about the court hearing in the USA ,
I introduced my self as a solicitor and that the reason am calling is because we have people complaining about there scam, who want to join and make a case against them and that I wanted someone from the senior staff to talk to me about this and that I myself has fallen for there scam
as I expected there was no one to talk to me
The gentleman asked for my details and surprisingly the first gentleman didn't cancel anything, this gentleman even couldn't find a record of my phone call, so he went on and cancelled my subscription
He wrote down my complains and my phone number and promised someone from the senior staff will contact me.
I had to leave and pick up my kid from pre school so i was away for an hour, but when I come back yes someone had called with a very funny number which I couldn't call back and I got this email from them

Well if the consumer doesn't WANT to read the T&Cs for a 'free' product or a 'free' trial that's entirely up to them

BUT If a company offering a 'free' anything ASKS FOR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD DETAILS then that's a clue...
They typically charge P&P on the free trial, so some people may figure that's all money the company are going to take, while being a seemingly legitimate reason to ask for the card details.

  • I fell for this as well (May 2012). THE T&C's DON'T COME UP UNTIL YOU'VE PAID FOR THE FREE TRIAL BY WHICH TIME THEY HAVE YOUR DETAILS! I have tried calling them so many times that I reverted to emails (16). I eventually got a reply stating I needed to call them to cancel! They have now taken £99 from my account. My bank is now treating as fraud and, hopefully, I will get my refund. I cannot believe they are still allowed to operate in this manner. I've tried returning the second package but wont fit in the post box. However, I will now have to go to the Post Office and pay for the return myself.
  • It's also spelled out in black and white that you CAN get a refund.
I fell for this scam! I am a sensible person. However, when I requested the goods, AFTER taking my payment the T&C's came up saying I would be charged £99 per month unless I called to cancel. I phoned constantly without getting through (hanging on for 45 minutes at a time). I sent emails (around 16) and eventually got a reply stating that I need to call them to cancel! They have taken £99 from my account and now my bank is treating it as fraud. I will attempt to call them yet again tomorrow.

Alternatively you could just go to the terms and conditions page before agreeing to them which is fully available on the site before entering your details. The term below would be the main one to read before entering into a free trial. It's been mentioned before in the thread so the whole 'no t+c's before payment' rants are pointless and just shows nobody is reading the terms and conditions before handing over their card details.

2.1 By placing your order you will be receiving a 12 day evaluation of Total Cleanse! We stand by our satisfaction Guarantee and our friendly customer service. You will also be enrolling into our convenient autoship program once your evaluation expires. You understand that you are subscribing to a monthly shipment program and you will be charged £99.95 per month starting 12 days from!today!and every 30 days thereafter unless cancelled. You also understand that you can cancel at any time, subject to the provisions of section 3, without further obligation by calling..
  • As so many other consumers wanting to loose a few pounds I also claimed this Free of Charge trial. Yes and along with what seems like a lot of other similar minded people fell for not reading in full the T&C...After receiving my credit card statement, have I now got a long and what seems like lengthy process of trying to cancel my subscription. (as well as HCG Platinum). I contacted my credit card provider, they obviously have also had other clients in the same situation, as they knew all about the company. They have advised me they can not stop future payments leaving my account, and that I need to cancel my subscription directly with them via e-mail. I can not find any email address to contact them. Can anyone advise me on an email contact address for them? I have tried the telephone number on the website, but it came up as a private house number and the lady knew nothing about the company!
    Please could someone help?
  • Your credit card company do not seem very helpful regarding a matter which my bank is treating as fraud! Having contacted the bank I was told that cancelling the debit card was pointless as when a new one is issued they can still access your account! My bank were very helpful and have been made aware of the company previously , they said the guards are aware of the company and they are trading fraudulently, as a result the bank cannot stop the payments but will monitor my account and if this company make any charges the bank will credit it to my account and then chase up the company for reimbursement, so i will not be out of pocket! The bank stated that they will continue to do so until the company stop charging the account!
