Purify naturally scam

My girlfriend ordered a free trial of this product and received the free trial.
that was all she was expecting but now she has been sent a second set of the product and has been charged £100 to a credit card which she used for the order.

she has tried contacting the company but they are only available monday to friday.
she has also tried ringing the credit card company but at the minute there is just a message saying ring back later due to staff training..

can anyone offer any advice?

Did she accept point 2.1 in the T&C's below when placing the original order ?

2.1 By signing up today, you will be receiving a 12 day trial to the Purify Naturally Monthly Subscription program. At the end of your 12 day trial you will be billed £99.95 and every 30 days thereafter and be receiving a 30 day supply of Purify Naturally Total Cleanse, unless cancelled. You may cancel your auto shipment program at any time by calling 0808 189 9650. This transaction will show on your statement as PURIFYNATURALLY.COM.

If so then hopefully she can invoke point 3.2

3.2 REFUND POLICY. If you are at all unsatisfied you may receive a full refund of any charge up to 30 days old. Please call Customer Care at 0808 189 9650 to make arrangement to receive Your refund.

It isnt a scam, your supposed to read the terms and conditions.

    Youre supposed to cancel.

They rely on people not reading the terms and conditions because they realise that lots of people dont.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • You'll be lucky to get a refund. It's spelled out in black and white which you agreed to so hardly a scam.

I once heard someone refer to these things as a stupidity tax, I am inclined to agree.
    Thinking critically since 1996....

    Forget the credit card company.
Neither the seller, nor the credit card company, have done anything wrong.

It's also spelled out in black and white that you CAN get a refund.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

These schemes are not a scam per se, but are absolutely designed around making it difficult to cancel a massively overpriced subscription in the hope of slicing a couple slices off your bank account before you rumble.

This looks like a more honest one than some, you are able to retrospectively reclaim, although you may well face some cancellation/restocking/postage fees.
  • This is a company that operates alongside HCG Platinum. They both operate the same scam. Whilst it may say this in terms and conditions trading standards inform me they also have to write to you confirming it all. They don't do this and therefore break the law. There terms also state you can only cancel by phoning them, again this is rubbish the law allows you to cancel at any time in writing. You also have to have a cooling off period which must be confirmed in writing. They have also been reported by the FDA in america as a cheap crap product.:mad::mad: Do not order from them. They are owned according to companies house by Wat Works (based in a house).

Indeed, just like this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3893955

Another classic example of how fools and their money are parted.
