Hi All
Got to see my doctor today - I have got a chest infection as I suspected. He has signed me off for a week which I am pleased about to be honest - I shall be glad of the rest!
The only problem was that I shan't be around early next week to get Avon books back off people, so this afternoon I have sent emails to everyone at work who has got a book asking them to pop the details of any order on an email to me.
Did loads of surveys last night and accumulated enough points to get a £5 Amazon gift voucher (electronic) from Lightspeed which I have already used to order a CD for my youngest brother for Christmas - every little helps!
I will have a look at quidco shortly to see if there are any offers I can take advantage of.
Anyway, off to get my fix of jigsaw puzzles on facebook!
Bye all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

It's funny -I've seen it loads of times since I have been off sick!
By the way, there is a different shorter version that OH isn't in - I've only seen that one once so far though!PigginSkint's debt free diary

We've seen the shorter version a few times, but this is the first time we've seen the longer one! The children didn't believe me, so I had to read out your post where you said he was in the ad :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. There have been several comments from friends and family about it - it seems that the eyebrow is the star of the show!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
I'm still feeling very ill but I am currently curled up on the sofa with the cat on my lap, in front of a lovely warm fire (brrrr! outside!), the telly and the laptop!
Have just checked my Egg balance and my refund has gone through - woohoo! Also my big payment to Littlewoods went out of my account today so the balance on that will soon be zero - yippee!!
I have been a busy bee doing surveys etc and checking various accounts to see how much I have earned and what rewards I can claim. Yesterday I discovered quite a healthy balance in ipoints - I have ordered a copy of the guinness world records 2009, which will be an ideal Christmas present for DS. I have very nearly got enough points to get a Shrek DVD as well, which DS would also love. I shall be going back there shortly to see if there are any more mini surveys I can do (I did them all yesterday) to earn the last handful of points I need!
I have been planning on going through my bookcase again to see what else I can sell through Amazon. Today I had a very quick look and found a book that will be ideal for a Christmas present for someone - what a lucky find!
OH has finally applied for a job at the bookies that is just up the road from us (it might not necessarily be at that particular branch, but the other vacancies are at other branches in our town so still not far to go) - he has been talking about it for weeks and has had an application form for nearly 2 weeks. Until yesterday that was the only Christmas job he had applied for. Grrrrr!!! Anyway I decided to do something about it yesterday so I had a search on MSE because I thought there was bound to be a thread about Christmas jobs and I was right! There were lots of links so I went into them all and saved them all in a new folder in my favourites called Christmas Jobs 2008 so that OH would have no excuse!
This is likely to turn into a long post so I think I will finish this one and start a new one!

As we were going out yesterday (more about that in a minute) I gave some very strong hints that OH ought to have a look at these websites... and he did. By the time we got back he had applied for at least one job and had printed off an application form for at least one more.
In a few weeks time we are going to a big family party and my SM had said that she would buy some new clothes for me and DS. As we are running out of opportunities to go shopping (because of DS being at his Dad's alternate weekends and 2 nights in the week) I suggested going while I am off this week. So we went to TKMaxx yesterday and I found 2 lovely tops, a jumper and a new pair of shoes (I was desperately in need of a new pair of work shoes as my other pair are falling apart!). We sent DS to have a look at the men's section on his own and he did really well - he found a shirt and a pair of trousers that we were really nice and just the thing for a party, plus a jumper. Afterwards we went to Sainsburys (which was nearby) on the offchance to see if we could find me a skirt and I found one which was absolutely perfect and fitted me beautifully. My SM paid for it all which was very much appreciated as you can probably imagine! Mind you, I was completely wiped out afterwards so I am very glad of a day spent on the sofa today!

This afternoon I have finalised my Sainsburys order which is due to be delivered tomorrow evening. I had included a load of dried fruit for making a Christmas cake and puddings but instead I have decided to check out Aldi for (a) cakes and puddings, and (b) dried fruit. I have tried to get this order as small as possible because I have been throwing lots of money at debts this month.
The other thing I have done today is a large part of my Avon order - I have checked all my orders and put them on the online form. I am hanging on to see if there are any more orders to add - there might be a couple from people at work. Apart from that all I need to do is order brochures, submit the order and pay for the last one. I shall probably finalise and submit the order tomorrow and pay for the last one on Thursday - this is because Thursday is payday and I have also not yet had chance to pay in the last lot of money that OH gave me.
I think that is all the news for now, though no doubt I have forgotten something!
Bye for now!PigginSkint's debt free diary
