Sooo calmed down yet ? Hope you have a good weekend :-)Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
Sorry it's been a while since I posted - a combination of being very busy at work, busy at home, very tired (missed The Apprentice and The Apprentice-You're Fired on Wednesday because I fell asleep on the sofa!), rather low and having an OH who does rather tend to hog the computer!
Went to see the CAB at work on Wednesday about some other stuff (stuff which I don't mention on here) and came away with a plan of action (which i actually haven't started yet, but I will) but feeling rather worried all the same (understatement really). Can't really say too much on here, I'm afraid.
This afternoon I am trying to get some housework done - I have told OH I will help him put his Betterware books out if he helps me with the housework. He said he would, so we will see.
In the meantime I have got Amazon open in a separate window because I am trying to get some more stuff listed. I will probably take a few breaks from it by coming back on here!
Bye all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

it isnt fair that you should do the betterware when you get home
especially as he hasnt been doing it when he could have iyswim!
hope he apologises x
Thanks. He didn't apologise but he did make amends (OMG he is just like my Dad!!). He probably realised that I was right and he was wrong!
By leaving him to do it on his own he realised all the mistakes he made and what he could have done better (I did talk to him about it on Thursday just to make sure he had learnt the right lessons!) - I didn't realise that he had written specific times on the notes he had put through people's doors saying when he would be calling! What a muppet! He has learnt that lesson at least.
Giving him time to mull things over probably helped as well. I didn't mention it at all when he came back in the house. He came back in an absolutely foul mood which gradually eased, especially when he discovered that I had used the time since I had got back to cook the dinner so it was virtually ready when he got back. Gave him his dinner and a stiff drink and he was in a much better mood!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Yes I have, thanks! I am one of those people who can't stay angry for long- especially with OH. I can stay miserable for quite a while so he had better watch out!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Well my workload does not appear to be easing off at all, which is why I have not had chance to update!
I had the migraine from hell over the weekend (just what I needed!). It started on Saturday – I took a tablet, went to sleep for the afternoon and felt better. Then on Sunday, just after I last posted on here, it came back again – I couldn’t see properly so my chances of posting much on Amazon rather went out of the window! Again I took a tablet and went to sleep – I felt a bit better when I woke up but it came back again so I had to take yet another tablet and go to bed. On Monday I still had it so I had to take the day off work. I had run out of the tablets so had to go to the doctors to get some more. Again took one and went to sleep for the afternoon. I felt groggy when I woke up but much better. I went back to work on Tuesday but still felt rather woolly headed.
The last thing I wanted to do was spend much time on a computer, because I was afraid that would set it off again. That is one of the reasons why I haven’t updated so far this week.
Next week I have got a bit of time off work as it is half term. Monday is Bank Holiday and I have booked the Thursday and Friday off so that means I only have to work 2 days next week – woohoo!!
Some bad news – OH had a letter from UCAS the other day saying that his application for the PGCE had been unsuccessful. Oh well, got to look on the bright side – we would have been seriously struggling for money if he had started it this year. He plans to try again next year – gives us chance to clear some debts before he starts.
I still haven’t done my 1st May figures yet and we are nearly into June! I will try to get them done over the next few days.
Oh well, better get on with some work. I will try to update again later if I can prise the laptop off OH!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Having a bit of a lazy day today because very very tired!
On Friday I managed to leave work early as I still had lots of flexi banked. So needless to say I didn't update during the day because I was trying to get my work done as quickly as possible so I could leave as early as possible.
Did a bit of Aldi shopping on the way home on Friday but strongly suggested to OH that he should use some of his Betterware earnings to buy some supplies - we were going to go to Iceland but because we did 2 visits (one to a friend of OH's and one to OH's mum) Iceland would have been shut, so we went to Aldi instead. OH has now got meat to eat for his dinner for the next few days until the Sainsburys shopping comes on Thursday.
Well nothing else to report at the moment. I am hoping that OH will clean the kitchen floor like he promised - I asked him to do the wet cleaning because I have currently got dermatitis on my hands, but it is like pulling teeth getting him to do it!
Bye for now!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Something I forgot...the other day I got a letter from the Halifax offering me a balance transfer deal, 5.94% APR for the life of the balance. So I immediately posted the form off to transfer £500 from the Egg card. Yesterday I got the same deal from my other Halifax card - the Amazon one. This means I should be able to transfer the remaining balance from the Egg card.
I am glad now that I never got round to using the previous offer that Halifax sent me - that was 6.95%.PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Not a huge amount to report so I'll keep it short!
I have sorted out my Avon returns today as my delivery is due tomorrow - that reminds me I must list my orders in my notebook cos I haven't done it yet. That reminds me of something else, when I placed my order I forgot to claim credit for something that I haven't managed to get the money for yet - someone who is on holiday so I delivered her goods to a neighbour. Unfortunately I realised too late that the cheque she had left me was wrong so I can't pay it into my account. Anyway at least I had enough money to cover it.
I have just finished (I think!) doing my Sainsburys order which is due on Thursday. It is about £130 which is more than I hoped but at least we will be stocked up on a few things now.
Payday on Thursday - hooray!
I have managed to pay all my bills without having to transfer any extra money to my bank account (apart from about £40 earlier in the month) so that's good news. It is unlikely to happen so well next month as I am about to start paying for my travel pass again which will mean a big chunk out of my monthly salary.
I've got to go to work tomorrow but I have only got to work 2 days this week - woohoo!
This evening OH and I are actually going out - I can't remember the last time we did that. We are going to a lecture in the city that we were both very interested in going to, which is followed by a film - only £10 each so not exactly breaking the bank. Part of me wishes we weren't going because I am still tired - oh well, it will make a nice change.
OH is out at the moment doing some Betterware and then I hope he is going to actually clean the kitchen floor - it could happen!
I am going to start the dinner soon as we are going out about 5:30pm.
Mmm that wasn't so short after all was it?! Oh well!

Hi All
Back at work today but feeling a bit bleary eyed! We enjoyed our night out last night but we were rather late going to bed – after 1:00am. I had hoped for a bit of lie-in this morning (till perhaps 7:00am) but it wasn’t to be – the Avon delivery man was knocking on my door at 6:30am! Oh well, early night tonight.
OH has gone to Leeds today with a friend, to help the friend’s daughter with some DIY – it won’t cost OH anything and he is likely to get £20 for doing it. I did make the point that there are plenty of DIY jobs at home that he could be doing!
OH did finally clean the kitchen floor yesterday – about bl**dy time! It was absolutely minging! I think I am going to have to start leaving him a list when I go out to work in a morning – it might have more effect.
I discovered yesterday that OH appears to have very little money left in his bank account again – nice of him to tell me! I shall have to remind him forcefully that he has bills to pay soon so what is he going to do about earning enough money to pay them! If I have to pay them again, the £400 I have got left in my emergency account will be gone in no time. Why does he not grasp the urgency of these things?! Grrr!!
Anyway, I have finally managed to do my 1st May figures – see my sig below. Looking a little better than last month, I am glad to say! Don’t know how long it will last though if OH doesn’t get his a**e in gear to increase his earnings.
I have got other things to update on but it’s lunchtime now so I will do it later.
