Hi All
Well, monthly updates were not what I had in mind when I started this diary - it was meant to be much more often!
Anyway, news in brief:
The LTSB loan is now history! Woohoo!!!!!!:j:j:j:j:j:beer::beer::beer::beer:
I can now start making plans for some serious debt busting.
I hope to be able to buy a car soon, but only if the price is right - i.e. if it fits within my budget.
We went to Drayton Manor over the Easter holidays and I was able to pay the entrance fee with my debit card (instead of my credit card) - great feeling that!
OH passed his driving theory on Tuesday - woohoo!:j Hopefully it won't be too long before he is ready to do his practical.
Bye for now!
P.S. check out the new sigPigginSkint's debt free diary

I am still here! FB has been rather taking over my life just lately!
This is just a quick update as I shall be going home soon.
We have added a little to our debt recently but it was such a bargain it had to be done - we have invested in a new tent! It was roughly half the RRP and less than half the price listed on the manufacturers website! :money:I have been making daily payments to my credit card to pay it off and I am half way there already, in less than a month!
OH has got his practical driving test booked for 30th June - I really hope he passes first time! Once he has passed he will be able to throw more money at the debts he is built up (not least the cost of the driving test = £62 - ouch!) instead of paying for driving lessons! It will such a step up for him when he can drive - in the past he has lost out on work through not being able to drive.
I am starting the serious research into looking at whether we can afford to buy a car - I would really like to if we can. Not least so that we can go camping without the extortionate cost of hiring a car. Also, I remember what it was like to pass my test and not drive for ages - confidence soon fades away. I really want OH to continue driving now that he can!
Anyway, must get a few final jobs done and then go home.

Hi All
Just a flying visit - just updated sig with 1st June figures. Not so very different from May but then I have bought a new tent, so it is not bad considering!
Fuller update when I get a spare minute (when i haven't got someone looking over my shoulder!)

We want to get our holiday out of the way and then, all being well, we hope to buy a car.
Now OH is no longer having to fork out so much money for driving lessons, he should have more spare money to pay me back some more of the money he owes me.
DS will be 17 in October so it will be his turn next. For the last 12 months or more I have been putting aside some money in preparation for this - it was just a little bit at a time to start with, but for the past few weeks is has been £10 a week. The pot is growing nicely now!
Just off to update my sig now - the scores on the doors look a lot better than last month, I am glad to say. 1st August will not look quite as good because I have a holiday to pay for yet, but hopefully 1st September should look better!

Good work on planning ahead for your DS's lessons. I am getting slightly better at planning ahead too.
It is difficult to make much headway when there are things like holidays and Christmas to account for!! My beginning of September figures will certainly look better than my early August onesOne step at a time0 -
Things are certainly looking very positive there, Piggin! Hopefully DS won't need too many lessons and you can then start throwing that additional cash at the debt too, and it will be gone in no time!
