Hi All
I can't believe how long it has been since I last updated on my own diary! This week at work has been long and busy and very very tiring! I feel absolutely exhausted now and have a stinking headache most of the day today but I am now off work until Monday 20th - thank goodness!
DS is currently away in France with his Dad but is due back on Sunday - can't wait to see him, it is too quiet here without him.
This is OH's last weekend at home before he goes away - he is in a big production of Peter Pan in London. He goes on Monday but hopefully should be able to come home every other weekend, at least until the end of May, while he is rehearsal. Once the production actually starts he won't be able to come back as he will literally only have Mondays off. I plan to go down to visit him on the odd weekend and we are planning our camping trip this summer so that we can be near him.
In money news, I am nearly up to payout on the free scratchcards. I have now paid off the debt on the Virgin card and I am close to getting the Egg card and the LTSB card down to zero. The 0% APR deal on the LTSB card expires on 14th May and I am on course to clear it before then.
I think that is all the news for now.

Thanks! The contract is for 5 months initially but it could be longer ....and it is well paid! Also quite high profile! So yes, he has had to give up the care home job - his last day is Sunday.PigginSkint's debt free diary

He is actually doing more than one part, but I am sworn to secrecy until the details are published on the website! I also can't mention any of the other cast members yet for the same reason.PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
I haven't done a great deal today because I have been very very tired again.
I did manage to get quite a lot of washing today, plus I ran a load in the dishwasher, did the remaining washing up by hand and wiped down the work surfaces so the kitchen doesn't look toooo bad now!
OH gave me his weekly money which I have paid into my account today. I have done my daily payment to a credit card and done all my daily money type things - pigsback quizzes, daily scratchcard (just 10p today), quidco, bananalotto.
OH bought himself some new pants, socks and jeans from Dunnes and new walking boots from our local outdoor kit shop (formerly army and navy stores) - these were all things that he desperately needed and actually didn't cost too much money, so I didn't begrudge them him. Also he actually used his own money to pay for them so I can't argue!!
From Dunnes I bought myself 2 pairs of very nice new pyjamas - £5 each - and a pair of leggings (for wearing under skirts in the summer) for £3. So total expenditure on myself = £13. Don't mind that!
The only other thing I bought for myself today was a pair of gel soles for my shoes - to try to ease the horrendous pain I have been getting in my left heel (I don't have a problem with my right foot as I already wear an insole in that shoe which has a lift in it because that leg in shorter). I hope it works but I know the real solution to this problem - lose lots of weight!
OH's Dad visited today - OH invited him up as he won't see him for quite a while. He was on reasonably good behaviour today, but it has to be said that he is the world's most annoying man!
Anyway, I think that is all the news for now.

I find I can loose more weight when OH is away, not tempted by him bringing in cheese/crackers, crisps etc
Hope you sleep well tonight and feel better tomorrowSealed pot challenge 822

That's what I am hoping anyway! OH is terrible for saying 'let's have a takeaway' or buying crisps on the way home, etc etc etc. I really do need to lose some blubber!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
DS is back! Woohoo!
DS and I have been to my Dad's for dinner (not OH because he is doing his last shift at the care home today 1:00-9:30pm) and one of the other guests was one of my uncles. The result of this was that I have drunk copious quantities of red wine today! (Thank goodness my headache had finally gone!)
I am just trying to do the last bit of washing and drying so that OH has got some clothes to take with him. How much packing do you suppose he has done so far? None at all! Oh well, he has got tonight and tomorrow morning to do some. OH's mother is giving us a lift to the station, so that has saved us some expense - I think she is coming at 1:00pm, OH's train is about 1:45pm.
Not much else to tell really. Haven't done any of my daily stuff yet - well apart from my payment a day, which this time was £1.12 to my online saver which I will be paying to my Tesco credit card as soon as the banks re-open.
Right, better get some stuff done!

Hi All
Well, OH has now gone. He went on the 1:45pm train so he will be in London by now. He phoned my while he was on the train and said he will phone again later. He was rather heavily laden - mahoosive trolley suitcase, 100 litre rucksack, document bag (for want of a better name!), guitar, and large carrier bag containing a flask of coffee and food for the journey.
I have spent most of the afternoon in the garden (lovely day today) mainly giving DS a crash course in lawn mowing - I can't do it because my right elbow is very painful (tennis elbow). My goodness, didn't he make heavy weather of it! Hope it's fine tomorrow because he needs to finish the job off!
While I was supervising DS I decided to plant some seeds (herbs, veg and flowers) using a set of three propogators/seed trays I bought from Aldi aaaaages ago! I also had a bit of de-clutter of one of my sheds and chucked out a load of small plant pots (only keeping big ones and seed trays) various car related stuff (can always buy again when I buy a car - which won't be for some years yet!) and a few old tins of paint etc. Very satisfying.
In money news, I have now reached payout level on the daily free scratchcards, so I have dealt with that and it should hit my bank account fairly soon. That's £10 towards my Make £10 a day challenge, and I shall probably use it as a daily payment for my Make a Payment a Day Challenge.
I am just dealing with my daily stuff before putting the dinner on. I suspect I shall have a very early night tonight as I am very tired - OH and I sat up very late last night talking and were up early this morning.
Right, I think that is all the news for now.
