Oh - and the fact that OH now works in a care home, which is another place these things breed, which OH then brings home and gives to me! That's where this latest bout came from!:mad:PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
I know I have been a bit quiet over the last few days, but that's because there hasn't been much to tell!
In the past few days I have been mainly doing the following: work (trying to catch up), a bit of playing on new computer, updating spreadsheets, cross stitch (rather addicted at the moment!), housework (yes it does happen!), filing (at home - very satisfying), tidying, de-cluttering.
See - pretty boring really!
My Avon delivery is due tomorrow so I shall be busy this week doing that. Tonight I must get my books ready to go out. I want to print off a returns form but the Avon site seems to be down at the moment. I think I might have to do it the old fashioned way - use my returns book.
OH has been giving me money every week -without having to be reminded! So things appear to be looking up. But, and it's a big but, he has to do his tax return online by 31st January (I am sure we have all seen the adverts) but I have yet to see any evidence of him getting his stuff ready to be able to do it - very worrying! Watch this space!
My office move at work happens tomorrow - only down the corridor luckily. Hope it is not too disruptive - I've got looooads to do still.
Anyway, just making a lovely chilli bean casserole and rice for dinner, so looking forward to eating that.
Bye for now!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Sounds like things are generally looking up then - are you fully recovered from your lurgy yet?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Almost! I went back to work on Friday still coughing but feeling much better - at least it didn't feel like my insides were being torn out. I was still very weak though so got the bus into town to catch my train, rather than walk to the station like I normally do. I have been gradually improving over the weekend and the cough is almost gone, but not quite. Walked to and from the station today which I managed but made me realise that I am not quite up to full strength yet, but I am getting there. Thank goodness!
I have probably got to have a meeting with my manager tomorrow, which I am not looking forward to - she usually makes me feel like I am doing something wrong if I am getting ill. Like I can help it! I am half expecting her to refer me to Occ Health again - I wouldn't mind if that does happen. My past experience with them has told me that they have a far more common sense attitude to it all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Life is busy, busy, busy at the moment which has left me very little time to update!
Office move happened on Tuesday, I am still surrounded by boxes because our new bookcases haven't arrived yet.
Did nearly all of my Avon deliveries today - woohoo! Will try to do more tomorrow, plus put my books out.
Forgot to mention earlier that we went to Parents' Evening and Options Evening at DS's school last week - one very proud mummy here! He is doing so well!
I can't remember whether I have mentioned it here or on another thread, but I am actually managing to pay £20 a day off my Egg card at the moment - I am chuffed to bits that I can actually afford to do it!
Had my meeting with my manager the other day - actually quite a positive meeting this time. I didn't feel any blame coming my way, unlike last time, and it was quite sympathetic. As I suspected, I am being referred to Occ Health - fine by me!
I had a weird night's sleep the other night. I woke up at 1:30am absolutely convinced that it was time to get up - I had put my dressing gown and slippers ready to go downstairs before I realised! Then later on the same night, about 4:00am I think, I dragged myself to the bathroom with a completely dead leg! I could have waited until the feeling came back into my leg, but when you are semi-comatose you don't really think of that!
Right, I am determined to have an early night tonight as I am quite tired. Night all!!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Yes I am still here! I am now having problems with my computer at work - it crashed on Friday and since then I haven't been able to access the internet. Still got my email though.
For some reason I never managed to get online over the weekend - v. busy doing housework and completely addicted to the cross stitch I am working on!
Managed to do a lot of Avon over the last few days - a much less busy week Avon-wise this week.
Didn't go to bed very early last night so I am very very tired! Early night tonight I think!
Thursday is payday -woohoo! Almost 6 weeks since the last one.
Wednesday is when I get my Sainsburys delivery so we will actually have some food in the cupboard!
Anyway, bye for now all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Another busy day at work - and still no internet and no sign of IT.
Had a letter from Capital One today which I am still trying to get my head round - think I need to phone them to ask them. Basically they are increasing the interest rate for just about everying to 29.94% except balance transfers made before November 2005. I have checked my records and I have only made one balance transfer to the card (and no other types of transactions) which was back in May 2005. However, it says that I have 2 options to opt out of the new APRs - (1) pay off in full immediately (2) continue at old rates until balance is paid off, but I have got to call them up to arrange this, destroy the card and make no new transactions.
Printed off a load of cover sheets for OH today - one for each month of each year since January 2004 - in order to help him organise his finances. Will it work? Who knows?! Watch this space.
I am still quite happily paying £20 a day off my Egg card. I need to re-do my spreadsheet for February to see how much I can afford to pay every day next month. On the plus side I won't have any council tax to pay, my increased minimum payments to Amex Blue won't have started yet (plus no news of a change to the BA Amex yet), it is a short month, plus my birthday. On the minus side, first of the large repayments to TC, OH's birthday, OH's mum's 60th birthday, OH's nephew's birthday, Valentine's day, our anniversary. Hmmmm!
Went to an open meeting today for a presentation about the financial position of my employer in the current climate. In a nutshell, we are in a more secure position than most at the moment but plans are afoot to make sure it stays that way - no redundancies (Yet! - That wasn't said!) but they plan to take advantage of 'natural wastage'. Well, we'll see!
Anyway, I am going to drink my tea, put the cover sheets I have done in plastic wallets (multi-punched pockets) - to make sure I have got enough or whether I need to 'liberate' a few from work - and put them in the ring binders I have already fished out for OH. Then the rest is up to him! Once I have done that I am going to bed.
Night all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Didn't manage to update much last night - combination of a splitting headache and being unbelievably tired!
Payday today - woohoo! Also Sainsburys delivery last night means we actually have food!
Have started updating my spreadsheets but still more to do -now we have Excel on a computer at home I will be able to do that over the weekend.
Still got some important jobs to do over the next few days:- Fill in TC form for new claim
- Sort out broadband
- Get repeat prescription sorted - must do that tonight actually as I have less than a week's worth of inhalers left.
Off to sort out the dinner so will be back shortly - back soon!PigginSkint's debt free diary
