Can feather pillows be machine washed and then tumble dried?

A quick check on the web suggests that you can. Why not try one and see what happens? They will be slow'ish to dry, but you could try one in the tumbler, Best to wait for a good hot day and put it outside to dry."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

yes ,I do mine regularly in rotation
I take them out of the drier and shake well every now and then0 -
yes i agree 1-2 at a time, they do look rough though when you first take them out of washing machine, fluff up nice after a good 20 hours on washing line, and shake them around a few times, then in tumbledryer till I am convinced they are dry.0

try putting an old tennis ball in the dryer with the pillow - it shakes up the fillingIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Was going to say that my self, I have washed feather pillows and single feather duvets in the washing machine and then put a tennis ball in the tumble dryer and it does work. Then do as Trafalgar says and fluff up occasionally.20p savers club

As you can't wash them on a very high temp, you could try putting in the freezer overnight (assuming you've got a drawer empty!) to kill off any dust mites.0
