Went food shopping. Oh. My. Word. People shopping like its Armageddon :rotfl: it was heaving. Anyway survived and am about to make chocolate Easter rice crispy nests with the kids. We haven't really bought them any Easter eggs (might save that til Monday and buy them reduced :money:) so I though Easter nests are cheaper and they actually get to involved
. Just not eat the melted chocolate

What a day I think I work harder at home than at work and that is really saying something. At least at work I get to sit down!
I have cleaned the oven this morning and soaked the metal racks luckily everything came off really easy. The light in the oven though has gone so we will need to get a new bulb!
Stripped the bed and two loads of washing is out on the line drying. Vacuumed all up and done some dusting - well mirrors and glass mainly with vinegar. Going to have a shower after we have had something to eat - late lunch - but hey ho!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

hmmm well decided to just roll up my sleeves and spend the day marking. so have been ticking off scripts
but a) trying to decide if it's too early to put the heating on b) kicking myself for not writing down if I had pain killers at lunch time (which was a Lidl macaroni pie with baked beans - true comfort food for someone whose man flu has been downgraded to real flu :rotfl: ). Bother. So now have to wait till 6 even if i didn't take any. Definitely better safe than sorry though, so had another hot cross bun :P MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

WOW Camelot! What an Easter prezzie- beeter than an Easter Egg.
Gorgeous day here, we had a Walk of Winess this morning. We have one every year and it always rains, we call it the Walk of Wetness but not this year.
Finished off the sick-making chocolate egg - yes, I know - and 2 Hot cross buns. That was lunch, think I'll skip the rest of today's meals.
JG: lovely to hear from you again. The house sounds delightful, hope all goes smoothly. Enjoy Eliza's Christening.
Must go , I'm being summoned. May pop in again later.I believe that friends are quiet angels

:)
JG have a wonderful day with the Christening can't believe its three months ago we were all pushing for you honey
Eldest DD just nipped down for a coffee, and a quick 'there there' as her OH has been moaning about cobwebs that he had spotted.
I'm afraid she is more relaxed than I would be, I would shove a broom in his hand and say if it bothers you that much you get rid of them She works full time at a very stressful job in a special-needs school and last week she spent just chillaxing a bit.She has two grown children(adults now of 19 & 21) plus her OH, and she's feeling a bit cream-crackered at the moment, so rightly so, she needed to do nothing for a few days.
If my OH had complained about a few cobwebs he would have had the broom stuck where the sun don't shine I'm afraid I am all for equality and that means you don't run around doing it all when there are three others in the house who can help out a bit .
Her house is a damned sight tidier than mine is but I like my home to be comfortable not sterile and a few cobwebs or bit of dust won't kill anyone .If the sun's out, then so am I. Lifes far too short to fret over daft things like dust or cobwebs
Still she brought down some hot x buns, and after a pot of coffee and some buttered buns she felt a lot better.nothing like a bit of coffee and TLC from Mum to make you feel better about life
:)
I made some more of the jam crumblies with apricot jam this time and they are delicious.
The one pound Chocolate eggs from Ic*land are all done with a crisp fiver tucked inside them all, wrapped in clingfilm .That way the boys can have a little bit of spending money next week and not too much chocolate.
I'll take them round on Sunday.Right I'm off to rummage for dinner tonight from the freezer.
Sun shining beautifully at the moment
Cheers chums
