Hi, if anyone has this speed, is it really good? A friend had this speed, and he said that he cancelled it because web browsing was no different, he only noticed download files etc were faster

Depending which sites you visit, you may notice little or no difference between a 500k and 1 Meg connection when just browsing.

For instance, if the site you are looking at is hosted on a "slow" server, then the bottleneck in the system will be the server, not your own connection bandwidth.

Downloading is certainly where the difference becomes apparent but even with my 650k connection, I would hate to have to go back to dialup speeds (< 56k) even when just browsing!!
