The Halifax contactless cards are being rolled out I think - I have contactless on my replacement Clarity card. That said I think I was in one of the trial areas (Leeds).

That said though I've just looked at my new reward debit card and that isn't contactless, but my Lloyds ones are. My Lloyds credit cards aren't contactless but the Halifax Clarity one is!

    I give up lol.

Now I've got a contactless card, I can pay to park my car without needing to visit the pay station every time. Works a treat.
What kind of car park is that? The ones I use, I insert my CC on the way in, and as I drive out it tells me how long I've been and how much I'm going to be charged. All works via ANPR cameras. The others, the pay station is on the way out, so I need to pass it anyway, so no big deal.

Lol it doesn't work by anpr cameras. It logs your card number and time on the way in then works out how long youve been there when you go out, simples.

My Halifax debit card is contactless and has been for a long time.
If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me :D
  • I have a contactless debit card and it makes regular task so much more easier. I think all banks wil be rolling them out sooner our later. Plus, its a quicker way for you to spend more on the card I think !

How does that work then when they don't ask for your card on the way out? Then theres the signs that say "Camera controlled car park. Your vehicle registration number will be recorded on both entry and exit.".
