Does anyone know if Halifax are currently issuing contactless credit cards?
Many of my local shops now accept these cards, but I'm currently limited to using a prepaid card to take advantage of the convenience

You can get bank accounts which offer contactless cards, I know Barclays, Lloyds and Natwest do however I don't think Halifax has any contactless product.0

my virgin cc is contactless0

Neither my Halifax debit card or credit card are contactless, I didn't think they issued contactless cards. My Natwest debit card is contactless, although my Natwest credit card isn't. My MBNA Visa and Amex are both contactless. I also have the Paypal Access card, which is also contactlessDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

I would assume so, yes. Although i would have thought more halifax customers would have confirmed this. Surely i cant be the only one?0 -
I have the Halifax Ultimate Reward account and their card is contactless....April 2006 - owed just over £30k (the evils of relationship breakup!)
December 2011 - owe just under £3.5k!!!
February 2012 - owe just under £1900 (keep the overtime coming!)
May 2012 - owe £600...0 -
That's interesting. My Reward debit card expires in three months, so I'll see what comes.Chesntoots wrote: »I have the Halifax Ultimate Reward account and their card is contactless....0 -
If your card is due to expire and you want contactless i would ring up and check before it's issued.
My husband has just done this as his Halifax Reward debit card was due to expire in May.
The agent explained that they are only issuing contactless cards in specific areas (eg London) but would see what he could do. 2 min later he came back and said he'd found the instructions on how to request a card but had never tried them.
The process obviously worked as the card arrived today.0
