If a petrol storage tank had the wrong fuel, there would be more than a handful (a euphanism) of cars with problems and more likely than not the local TS or Licencing authority would be made aware from drivers if not the seller of the petrol, unless the garage is rarely used. Diesel in your car only indicates that diesel was put in, not that it was the wrong fuel in the wrong pump. I know of a number of cases where people who swore blind that they used the correct pump go rather sheepish when video footage is found of them using the wrong one.

My local fuel station was one of the few that never ran out during the fuel strikes a few years back. You dont want to know what else was going into those tanks to help increase the diesel levels a bit.

He never got any complaints either and i suspect it was something he did before the strikes also.

All i said is i buy my car fuel from petrol stations and not from supermarkets .
What's wrong in saying that .
