Morning all, dull and cold here but at least it was dry for dog walking. Got to get on and tidy DD's bedroom as she is coming home for a few days and my sewing stuff is all over the place. Have just finished a patchwork quilt for her, my first ever machine pieced one, it's not perfect but I'm very pleased with it. pictures here if you want a look.

    Morning all

    ((((hugs)))) to all the poorlies

I'm off on leave now til Tuesday :j. Looks to be midly sunny outside today.

I'm meeting my friends for lunch, it's a traditional to go out for lunch on Maundy Thursday here (cos lots of people get the day or half day off - big civil service town!) :D really looking forward to it cos I've not seen everyone all together since Xmas!! We meeting in a little seaside town for a change and think I'll have a wander round shops after. Then I'm meeting a friend for coffee late afternoon.

OS wise - pretty much on top of everything. WM may go on at some point, but may wait til tomorrow. Dishes need washing.

Have a fab day all :)

Good Morning all its very dull here in north Kent but I am buzzing as I am off for a day out with my eldest DD to London, lunch and a theatre matinee (Billy Elliot) so I'm really looking forward to it
I too second the idea of the Imperial War Museum, (but take a picnic as the cafe is mega bucks, even for a cuppa)The Holocaust exibition is amazing, there is a notice outside it to say no under 14's but we took all of my grandsons in to it last year, and the youngest is seven and they all appreciated it, and what children went through. It sounds morbid, but its really not, and it makes you realise how lucky we all are.
In the foyer of the museum was a huge piece of one of the 9/11 towers and also in the grounds a chunk of the Berlin wall All of my grandsons loved the museum, and we said we will go back in the summer holidays as there is so much to see.
Our little Jack lost his beloved Chelsea scarf whilst he was there and we left our address in case it turned up, and within a week it arrived through the post from the museum. He was so pleased (and so was his Mum )Great place to go in the holidays as there is so much to see.We went there after taking the boys on the London Eye and I think they actually enjoyed the museum more.
Well time I got a wriggle on as DD has just phoned to say she will be down at 10.30 to pick me up.
I hope everyone has a good day and if your poorly or sad have a <hug>
    Cheers chums

    Morning all,

Brrr seems our warm spell it over, very dull and windy out there, yesterday I walked the dog in a t-shirt, today I will need a coat.

Need to do some housework this morning, the lounge and kitchen need a good clean, need to walk the dog too, then take dd out to speak to someone re her next placement.

Had a parents evening phone call from dd's tutour yesterday, (they prefer to do it by phone or e-mail now) dd is getting on very well, she is graded excellent across the board, and has a distinction for every piece of work entered :T, I am very proud of her, all that hard work she does is really paying off .

My mum bought my 'easter egg' round yesterday, its a huge meat pie :rotfl:there is a local shop here that makes them and they are beautiful award winning pies and they give you two pots of gravy with it, they are quite expensive so its a real treat for us, will have some tonight with chips, and the rest tomorrow, looking forward to it :D.

Have good days all, hope the poorlys feel better soon xx

Have walked the dogs....we also had a friend with us....there is a hawk of some description living in the big tree in the park, it's got tassles and a bell on (escpaed from somewhere, but the local falconary bloke hasn't found out where from), anyway it likes to follow you and swoop down , so was half walking half running the gauntlet afraid it would land on my head :o. Next job get ready to go to town

    Morning ladies, hugs for all.
It was so cold here last night I took a hot water bottle to bed with me. Woke up at 8 with woofer punching me in the face because he wanted to go out.:eek::mad:. Was even chillier when I got outside.
    Nice and toasty now though.
Kids are still snoring their heads off except ds2 who has a job from 9.30 until 2.30 when he is back from uni so Have been pottering round quietly ever since so they can have a lie in.Wonder if they will actually remember that today is a special day in our family. Its my Birthday and I am actually beginning to think that they may have forgotten:(:(
Waiting for a call from t-mob telling me that my phone has been repaired and is on its way back to me. Am using a little bog standard basic nokia at the mo and still cant get to grips with it. Technology is way above me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
