Has has been pointed out previously there is no such thing anymore. Even the Swiss have agreement with UK government to provide details of offshore accounts now.

I quote our Exchequer "I regard tax evasion and – indeed – aggressive tax avoidance – as morally repugnant" and I have to say I agree with him.

I'm sure osborne pays all his taxes and has not sheltered anything from the HMRC.

Nice to see that such people will have nowhere to hide in the UK.

Seems rather odd to relocate your family/life etc just to save a few quid. It doesnt apply to me but if I'd invented something that was making me millions, I'd be fairly happy that I was making millions even if it meant HMRC was also doing so.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • I'm no expert on these matters but I know for sure there's a lot of misconception.

You can't send money electronically to the bank or have the money you wish to hide paid in to your UK bank because you'd then have to withdraw it. Even if your Swiss account is hidden from view your UK account has all the footprints on it. Cash is key. Or a paper trail through a labyrinth of shell companies in the UK, Cayman Islands, through banks, third parties etc.

The money needed to purchase and run some off the shelf companies negates any real advantage gained in not paying CGT or whatever. This is only a game for High Net-Worth individuals saving millions, not folks on a moneysaving forum.

Anyway, just for a laugh get yourself a return ticket to Panama.

By crikey, this newbie certainly hit the ground running!
I don't think he's real, so there is no point in allowing him use of my extensive knowledge in these matters.

Kind of strange to see that such 'jealousy of rich' people hide on a forum about money. I guessed that this forum was a good place to find out about saving money. Some posts have been helpful.
