Oh blimey Floridafairy, I feel your pain. I did my roots a few weeks ago and they are so not the same colour as the rest of my hair! Still, it saved £60 at the hairdressers!:money:
Have done my pad for the day, £8.84, which brings me to
#319 £3849.86/£6109.94
Hoping to make a big payment tomorrow, depends on how little I think we can live on next week! Note that no-one else in the family gets a say.

Hi folks,
Another direct debit paid to my loan (and not much else unfortunately),
#65 2818.75 / 12471.68 = 22.60%
I lent my daughter some cash quite some time ago and so I've had to pay for my groceries on the dreaded credit card. She's finally paid the money back but because I was using a credit card I've overspent  so the money she repaid me plus whatever I could lay my hands on has gone to bringing the credit card balance back to zero, subsequently it hasn't left me any spare money to pay towards the BoM&D. I'm not sure whether it would be classed as a negative snowball effect, but it's definatley an example of the domino effect where one little thing topples everything else.
Anyway the whole situation has made me resolve to never a lender be, she's taken so long to repay the money when she promised that it would only be until her next pay cheque, that she's made me really quite cross. This Bank of Mum & Dad is closing it's doors to business, I'm just hoping my Bank of Mum & Dad aren't feeling as frustrated with me
Anyway, now I'm back on the to straight and narrow I'm optimistic that I'll be able to make a payment to my BoM&D at the end of May (fingers crossed).0 -
Hi Peeps
I need a bit of advice please, I've got £132 in my £2 tin and probably about £70 in my change jar, should I empty them and pay towards my cc which is interest bearing or should I just keep on filling them until Dec 1st (which is what I said I'd do). I soooo want to get to 50% paid off

Hi Lemonpopsicle,
I would pay it off the credit card.
I'm part of the Sealed Pot Challenge and do a similar kind of thing, putting 'spare' cash into a savings pot. Depending on personal circumstances some people are happy to have significant amounts of money in a savings pot, I personally think that if the money can be put to better use then it should be used.
I don't think my Sealed Pot has ever exceeded 100.00gbp after a year of saving :rotfl:0 -
Evening all!
I'm sooo pleased! My PPI claim was credited to my account today and I had planned that I would have to pay just over £1K in tax but phoned HMRC and I had calculated it wrong! (now I know why I've been in debt for so long :rotfl:) Anyway I only owe £600 tax and they are just changing my tax code to get the money which means the whole amount (just under £4K) goes straight to debt!
I've made the payments tonight so my new totals are:
8,391.73/10,678.72
It means I only have just over £2K to go!!
A really chuffed Katie!!! :j
Running off to update my signature!

I already have :rotfl: but ssshhhhh, don't tell the potters. I stuck a little note in there to remind myself what I'd done, and then the money went to debts.
And I know I won't be opening it anytime soon
ETA: The 98.66 was last year's total. Even though I've taken some money out of it this year I'd still be surprised if I reached 100.00 <<shrug>>0 -
