Hey! Well done to everyone making payments and thank you to Jemma for keeping it all going. :T
I have been a bit naughty this month - my holiday savings are not going well (I leave 4th July for 10 days) So I have set myself a challenge of 3 no-spend days this week to purge my sins. I've only made a payment of £150 to the CC this month so I'm now

I think the most interesting fact you've just revealed Jemma is that you have a wet fish to hand for just this kind of situation!
As always, thanks for running this for us, I'm hoping to have an update before the end of the week so that I can get over 40% before the month is over.
The money from my sharesave is coming on the first of August, so that should really put me in a much better position.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Anyone any advice on how much gas credit you should build up for the winter? We've been in the flat 3 months and have already built up £80 credit apparently! It's only a little 2 bedroom flat with new radiators and it does warm up quickly when you put the heating on (yes we have used it and we do take baths etc which obviously uses it) Just can't quite believe how quickly its racked up.
I'm just pleased that after I put our electric reading in we're £5 in credit, I was worried on that one as we're big tech geeks and frequently have games consoles and my beastly gaming PC running.
Hope everyone is ok, I got a free lunch at work today, mostly because I had to present to about 40 people and I'd managed to book food for it as it was lunchtimelittle things. Although I need to go get some cash to pay £10 to my friend for the mini bus for her hen do at the end of the month.

Wondering what others do for milestones? I like to set myself smaller targets with my debt so that I don't get lost in the sheer 'size' of it.
From the ~£19k I originally owed, I set milestones at £15k, £10k and my current milestone is for £5k which I hope to hit in the next month or so.
But what to do after £5k? I don't want to drop the next milestone down to £0! Would £1k steps be a decent target? Maybe I could make it a bit more interesting by stating a £1k target per month...
This is the only debt I have remaining too (thanks starnac)
What do others do?
My debt is so enormous I have to get inventive with milestonesI do the obvious 5k, 10k etc paid off...also the 5k and 10k owed...and also interesting percentages. So for example I am looking forward to £10k paid off soon then 20% will be at £11.6k ish.
Each debt paid is a milestone (not relevant to you!) but perhaps you could set your £1k a month targets and try to beat them by increasing your income?DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Fallen - my small 2 bedroom flat used to average about £28/month, but every flat is different. It's hard to say how much credit is too much though, without knowing how much you pay each month. Try reducing by £5/month - you still have half of summer left (what happened to the first half?!?) and at this rate you'll have £160 stored for winter, which I think is how much we spent total!0

Hello all!
I will try and catch up on all your news, currently on page 97 but my eyelids keep dropping.
Had a fab holiday, despite the weather, but spent far more than we'd planned to, partly due the rain and needing to do indoorsy activities (mainly wandring around shops and pub lunches)
Came back to some good news, taxman has sent me a cheque for £635It's in my maiden name though so have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for them to reissue it in my married name. It's going straight towards the CC though I might keep the £35 part and treat us to tea out one night
