Filling up your diesel car with aviation fuel?

I thought there were various sorts.

Aviation fuel - Petrol based for piston engines with spark plugs
Jet Fuel - parafin
Avgas - a variation or the same as jet fuel, not sure about this.

Aviation fuel is just the generic name for any type of fuel designed for aircraft.
Jet Fuel aka Jet A1 aka Avtur (plus plenty of other names) is designed for turbine or compression ignition engines.
Avgas is is a variation of petrol for aircraft that use spark plugs.

From reading up on this, there is no reason why Jet A1 can not be used in diesels. However the advice seems to be that an additive for lube will be needed. There may also be a problem with emission levels on an MOT.

Also HMRC might be interested as it is a rebated fuel which should not be used in road vehicles

You can't get Jet A1 near me the pump is on the Taxi area that leads to the runway you can't drive near it and they only fill up planes most flying clubs sell it at the Airport but from a pump where the planes are parked so you won't be able to access it unless you own a plane
