I say this noticing that local flying clubs around here are selling Jet A-1 fuel for around 90p/litre (including the VAT)
I'm not an expert on these matters - but has anyone tried this?

There will be no lubricant in it so probably be fine on the old diesels that will run on veggy though, legally a minefield. I know a few people who did it years ago. Google it, loads of hits.0

The airport vehicles run on it, they just put in a few pints of normal diesel per tank.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Ex gf's dad is an aircraft engineer who sometimes brought a bit home and apparently it gave amazing fuel economy, and he reckoned the engine (XUD) ran better on it than on diesel0

Jet A1 is kerosene (paraffin), and old diesels will run on it. But not legally.0

Alternatively why not run it on agricultural diesel or heating oil!
But how brave do you feel?0 -
Knew a guy in 80's who got caught with red diesel in his works vehicle, got a hefty fine but carried on doing it. He said the chances of getting caught where slim and it was worth it to him.0

Realistically, what are the chances of being caught doing that?
How would anyone know?
Just curious, you understand.
Theres probably a difference in smell with kero and is red not less refined? So it may smoke more?
The biggest way people probably get caught though is because someones reported them.0 -

If you are in the farming business they tend to grab you when you go to the auction mart to sell your beasts etc. So if you steer clear of them I guess the chances are pretty small.
Not sure if this is true but apparently it also leaves a permanent stain in the engine but I'm not convinced of this.0
