Earthmother hope you and your family feeling better soon!
Missyg wow you are v organised, could you come and do my house next?lol!I'm having a c section so won't feel like decluttering afterwards for a while, just lke i've been kicked in the stomach by a pack of donkeys!
I really must join freecycle, been thinking about it for a year now!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -
Great Mary43, I hope you enjoy your trip. 19 days off when you thought you only had 4 is quite a bonus! Your Christmas and Birthday baskets sound very nice and very MSE, do you put them together throughout the year?
Earthmother I hear ya about the bus nuttersI have had some really positive encounters through Freecycle as well though, I think it's those that keep me going! Glad your person turned up! Are you having a new kitchen?
Pigpen :T You might end up with £200 or even more! I am excited for you that you've already gone over your target! My target was £100 and I'm at £71 now so it's creeping up streadily and I've got my fingers crossed!I'm looking forward to the final minutes... it's the first time I've used Turbolister so the first time it will all finish at roughly the same time for me! Hasn't ebay just had a management change or something like that? The new person is perhaps trying to make their mark with a few changes... feedback becoming a one-way process is a pretty radical step, not sure how that will pan out. Ebid definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Dobs, have you had a c section before then? Forget the decluttering for a while, just enjoy your precious new baby and concentrate on getting back on your feet!(But I still want to hear from you on here!) Good luck with everything x
Well I have sorted out the packaging for the stuff that has bids, only 18 of 85 items so far but I knew the CDs were going to be hard to shift and they will probably end up in the charity shop.0 -

Ooops.........wishful thinking there........I put 19 when I should have put 10.............lol (slight typing error!) Still, its more than I thought.
Hadn't heard about the baskets idea till I joined this site at the end of last year and saw them on the Special Occassions board. Thought it was a briliant idea and a lot of peeps there started doing them early so I thought I might as well do the same. We don't have any of the big cheap shops here like Poundland (price I pay for living in small rural market town........lol) but we have got three charity shops..........always stuff in there that someones had as unwanted pressie so I've been getting bits every week and making note of what its costing me, counting in birthdays as well. So far so good........haven't added it up yet but MIL's birthday one is around £6 and ex foster girl is around £5. If I keep that up then I'll do ok. Hardest ones will be teenage grandchildren but they have so much I normally give them money -might make a change for them to have a box or basket of allsorts..........lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Thanks for that vivw - Natural Surroundings and the brewery sound good - I'll add them to my ever growing list of things to do. We're there for 2 2-day breaks - if the weather is good, we'll be on the beach building loads of sandcastles with the kids, but if it's a bit grotty, then that's when all these places kick in.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0

What type of beaches/seaside towns do you like? As I lived and bought up my kids in Norwich I know quite a few placesWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -

Quiet ones - we're not into funfairs or amusements (other than the odd push-penny machine on a soggy day). If we can build some castles, have a nice simple meal, and maybe ride a donkey, we'll be happy. We also need good, fairly level, beach access and close parking, as hubby is disabled and uses a wheelchair/crutches.
We were planning on trying Yarmouth - neither of us have been since we were children (our holidays with the kids having been in Lincs rather than Norfolk so far), but recall it as being fairly easy to get around etc - but if you know of anywhere else, then it would be great to have some local knowledge.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

Thanks - you've given me plenty to work with there. I'll tell hubby, and he can have a delve through the mapbook and see which he likes the look of in terms of driving.
I do seem to recall him muttering about Southwold already, so that's promising.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
Southwold is also the home of Adnams beer.......very drinkable. There are even little cafe type places on the beach that sell cups of tea/coffee....all very civilisedWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0
