i've got rid of a bad of teddies, and just a general bit of rubbish and recycling. Not much of a start really.
And listed something on freecycle, just needs to get past the moderator.

Very slow start for me can't go anywhere on saturday, therefore will have no excuse not to attack the bedroom

I've finally plucked up the courage to post on this thread. I'm hoping seeing it in black and white will give me the kick up the butt I need to declutter!:o

I'm so ashamed. I have four bedrooms in my house - and can only use two! It used to be my mum's house until I moved in last February, and she never got round to moving her stuff into new husbands flat before she passed away. So I've got all my clutter and (I feel so guilty saying this) all my mum's as well. And boy, do I have clutter!! I've got half a kitchen in one room, and the other room is full of shoes!:rotfl:

Anyway, I'm off to make a start, I got a leaflet through the door for a charity collection on Saturday so I'm hoping to get a load of stuff sorted for that.

    Wish me luck!!

    Gail.

  • Lots of luck Gail. Every time you sepnd just 5 mins working on it helps. No need to feel ashamed, youre dealing with it, youre already miles ahead in that case. :-D

Yesterday I put a couple of things on Amazon and PlayTrade and posted a textbook to someone.

I also did spend the majority of the day tidying. Room still looks like a mess, but the clean bits look clean! Created a 'memories box', so all photos, nick-nacks and some birthday cards go in there. I have a very bad habit of keeping everything sentimental. But on the ornament side I have managed to declutter quite a lot,.
