  • Also, yesterday bought the thorntons in tub, charged £10, priced £4. Took them to customer services, and walked with them to signage, customer services said we can sell them to you for £4, I have accepted this but will telephone customer services tomorrow to see if they will send me a gift card for the other £16 that I should have had as DTD. Hope this makes sense.

18 wombles!! That must be some kind of record..

Have you got any advice on the best way to get several at a time? Do you look in certain places, go at certain times of day, use 10 kids to help you??

My efforts are normally pathetic and I think the most I have ever managed is three!:(:(

I just park at the far end of the car park and do a circuit of the trolley bays, keeping my eyes peeled between cars as I go, then on the way back to the car I do the same long way round detour :)

I've got the good quality wall and floor tiles picked out at £30 - £35/m2 (or one third of that with Tesco reward vouchers;))

It's the cost for labour only that I'm looking for on the floor tiles. I'll do the wall tiles myself as my slow DIY pace won't hold up the progress like the floor tiles will.

    Thanks for the info:)

That quote wasjust for the labour!:rotfl:
I was also quoted £20 per sq M to remove old ones!!

That was Wickes for installing their bathrooms btw. Not going there again!

    It's only a game

Those tesco for school vouchers I keep refusing are they worth getting and giving to a local school? Not sure if all schools collect them?

No experience of floor tiles, whether they are cheaper/dearer than wall tiles; but I was quoted £60 per sq M for wall tiles recently. I thought that was:eek:, so am doing it myself.
You could also ask over on the DIY board for a ballpark figure.

HOW MUCH :eek: if dh was to charge that much we might be rich :rotfl::rotfl:

Should be less than a day with grouting, £150 max or DIY.

Thanks Frequent:T. Thought you would know if you were on the thread today;)
I've tackled floor tiling a few times over the years but we've got so much work on that I'm having to pay for some things just to keep on track with OH cracking the whip:eek:. Based on previous experience it would take me several days to do 12m2 as I can't work fast enough to keep up with open time for the fast set adhesive that I've used previously for porcelain tiles:o (plus the regular coffee breaks to admire my work and popping on here :rotfl::rotfl:)

They are worth collecting, our Tesco has a box as you leave the store where you can donate them to the local participating schools. Sorry about the idiot on Fb causing stress for yourself and your Mum. Hope you're both ok.
Not been to T's today in fact not even got dressed:o I will go tomorrow as I need coffee, on my way to the garage as my new car(new to me) rains on my feet when I'm driving:rotfl: The windscreen washer pipe has become detatched fortunately under warranty:)

And they were over the top to be fair....Earthday made some valid points that you'd do well to make a note of!

Writing a note to self now...

Ripping it up now and sticking in bin.

Am a ethical person already. getting one cheese pack on dtd is not greed when you could otherwise not justify the spend.

i am not over the top my upset was totally valid and others may well feel the same. The red faces was my high blood pressure getting even higher:(

Not seen any boxes in the T's I go in (but not looked tbh) they are not causing me any bother :)
I had the washer pipe come detached but luckily it was outside the car annoying as I had to stop when going down a muddy country lane and use my drinking bottle to clean the screen :D
