The only possible reason for telling people on here that you have left stuff behind is because you want more thanks for being "such a wonderful person".
Maybe some people like to help other people? I've heard of lots of occasions where MSErs have told another shopper about a deal, or shared a spare voucher or two. Over on the cravendale thread someone had about 15 vouchers on th last day, and instead of begging for five codes, she handed them out via PMs so people who were closer to 20 could get their backpacks, She had no points to score, and didnt want her ego stroked, she was just a helpful person.
I personally dont buy a huge amount of glitches etc as I'm a chicken:o. But its also about 'preserving' what we have.
Vouchers were abused and many shops have tightened up on what they will accept, Tesco stopped accepting MOC from other shops, safe coupons were introduced etc.
Occasionally this moral debate rears its head for discusion. In the end everyone has to decide for themselves, and has every right to do so. But I personally am happy to get a reasonable amount, and hope the fun continues for ever, rather than Tesco getting fed up and eventually doing something drastic like stopping DTD or changing their pricing system so we dont get 1p items every so often.0 -

As you say it's relevant how many local stores people have. I don't have a store close to me, but I have about 6 I can get to on my way to and from work. Therefore if one banned me it wouldn't be a major problem.
However if they banned me for just claiming an occasional DTD, as their policy allows, I would ensure I took it to the higest possible level in T's. In addition to every consumer programme and website around. I think if T's banned an individual just for politely but firmly asking for DTD they would earn themselves some pretty bad publicity.
Well, during the 'good old R&R days', they certainly banned or threatened to ban quite a few regular claimants! Some of the stores got extremely unpleasant about it and the general opinion was that Tesco (or any other store for that matter) can ban you for no reason at all and they don't need to explain themselves! I looked seriously at the idea of buying a few Tesco shares to wave at them if they got too funny with me.
Tesco can and will ban anyone they feel like banning and the chances of getting any real media interest in your case are probably very low.ELITE 5:2

Agreed aau98113, this is by far the best thread on MSE.That is a particularly narrow minded view.!
Some people just want local MSErs to benefit. This is such a nice thread is it such a surprise that there might be some decent people on it?
Other reasons could be the item needs refridgerated or frozen and they dont have room to clear the shelf and take it all home or they are not going directly home. Maybe they spot a glitched item that they simply dont want (should a vegetarian clear a shelf of glitched meat just because its cheap?)!
On a similar note, what about all these self righteous people who post about glitches in the first place? !They are blatantly just doing it for thanks when really they should just keep schtum. Disgraceful behaviour
However, the point I am trying to make is that surely there is no need to tell the planet that you have 'left items behind for others' and therefore claim lots of kudos and thanks from everyone for being such a wonderful person. Surely we are all here for a bit of goss and a lot of detail on how we can screw Mr T's? We don't need people trying to persuade us how wonderful they are because they've left a 1p pack of Love Hearts on a clip strip for someone else to pick up.
Please don't shoot me, just my opinion.
