Sensational darkvel, thanks for sharing. I even showed it to my other half, which I rarely do when online. I never cease to be amazed by the depth of communal knowledge and experience on this forum. :heart2:
Think I'm losing it - I read this as sensational drivel!

As you say it's relevant how many local stores people have. I don't have a store close to me, but I have about 6 I can get to on my way to and from work. Therefore if one banned me it wouldn't be a major problem.
However if they banned me for just claiming an occasional DTD, as their policy allows, I would ensure I took it to the higest possible level in T's. In addition to every consumer programme and website around. I think if T's banned an individual just for politely but firmly asking for DTD they would earn themselves some pretty bad publicity.
Well local stores share info so a single store ban might end up with problems in other stores too.
Secondly, buying stuff JUST for the DTD as we do might be legal but it certainly isn't going to win you too many friends in Tesco...........even in the towers of power. They CAN and DO refuse to serve people, it is their right and lets be fair Tesco is a profit making organisation not a charity.
Do you think any outside organisation would help if they were shown a list of things you'd 'accidentally' been overcharged on over the past few months?
Two people were lucky recently to get their bans overturned, but the suspicion and scrutiny remains.
Each to their own of course, but being a bit thoughtful would seem to be a prudent thing to do IMO.0 -
