Am i being self righteous when i leave 1p items behind and tell people to PM me for details if they are local?

No, I do it in the hope of finding a fellow local MSEr who might do the same for me in return if I am unable to make it out on a different glitch day

I'm not being self righteous ..... but i am doing it for selfish reasons (without being greedy)

I am still able to spread plenty of love amongst family and friend despite leaving items behind

    ****PLEASE DONT THANK THIS POST****

Each to their own, leave some don't leave some personal choice, simplez :)

Sorry aau98113, I wasn't suggesting that the act of leaving stuff behind for others is dodgy, just the public announcement on this forum. The only possible reason for telling people on here that you have left stuff behind is because you want more thanks for being "such a wonderful person".
  • Yep, born in Glasgow a while ago but have been in Crawley since 1990.

You live very close to me then :)

    Well done, but........

Please don't think I'm being awkward here, but did you actually need all the batteries or the DVD's???

As you all know, I'm certainly no stranger to DTD and have given it a right good spanking on occasion, but IMO its way too easy to fall into the trap of raising your profile in a store to buy crap we don't need.

I have found DVD's and betteries over the past couple of days along with a few other oddments but have bought nothing.

As I say, not having a go, just a bit of food for thought really as store bans do happen and more often than we think. I guess if we have a huge catchment of stores then this may well be a non issue, but for others it could cause problems.

Just a bit of waffle from me............. :D

As you say it's relevant how many local stores people have. I don't have a store close to me, but I have about 6 I can get to on my way to and from work. Therefore if one banned me it wouldn't be a major problem.

However if they banned me for just claiming an occasional DTD, as their policy allows, I would ensure I took it to the higest possible level in T's. In addition to every consumer programme and website around. I think if T's banned an individual just for politely but firmly asking for DTD they would earn themselves some pretty bad publicity.

Went to Mr T early to use my Cravendale Milk voucher and a bit of shopping for fresh stuff to find that my extra doesn't stock the 1L cartons. Where have others been finding stores that stock this stuff?

I have been in 2 Ts and an A today and none of them stocked one litre.
