Bensonsmum, so sorry to hear of yours and your families loss. Take comfort from those around you, it takes awhile to sink in, I'm still having difficult moments from my mum passing last month. All of you on my prayers.0

Anyone near the store in Shakespeare's Country could have a DTD opportunity on the Duracell. Theyve removed all the actual SELs, but there are still boxes with BOGOF signs on them. I think theyre worth claiming as a DTD. Ive had a couple of DTDs in the store recently so my cards marked, but hope someone else has some joy with it0

If you are able to give blood, you should. It doesn't hurt much and you might just help to saved someone's life :-)
I'm really proud of myself as, in January, I gave my 25th pint. I always have hot chocolate and either crisps or a mars bar after - they have really improved the selection of goodies to choose from. I started being a donor when I worked in the Civil Service but now I have to go in my own time. For some odd reason, I always feel better health wise when I've donated and have a better night's sleep.
I also try to encourage other people to donate as there's always a short supply.0 -
Evening all, a fed up Lala today until QPr arrived;):T
Went to see the consultant and no driving for another few weeks:eek::eek::eek::eek:or until I can hold a cup of tea! Going to start physio now though so thats something. He had to take out more stitches that the doctor should have done and that had been in over 3 weeks so it hurt a bit when he did that:(:( Never mind I'll just have to be a bit more patient, it's just that I'm so used to being able to nip here, there and everywhere that I think I'm beginning to get cabin fever;)Anyway Qpranger popped in for a cup of tea and took me and Nannylala to T's and we got a few good bargains and more Simply Add(Got to love that glitch)
Hope everyones ok, just going back to catch up now:)
Best get practicing your tea drinking then!

bensonsmum wrote: »Afternoon all, sorry but haven't really had much of a chance to catch up. Have spent the day with FIL, and im pleased (pleased may sound strange to some of you but thats exactly how i feel) to say that he passed away peacefully this afternoon, i had been with him for most of the day, his brother and an old friend from when he was at school had come to visit him but he was sleeping for most of the time, i did get a few smiles out of him but mostly he slept. I left him to go and pick OH up from work so he could see him and before i had got back he had gone and passed away. I was only saying to OH last night that i wished he could just fall asleep and go that way. He wasn't in any pain at all today which was lovely and im so happy that there was no pain come the end.
So RIP Michael you were a pain in the !!! at times but a lovely man who i don't think anybody anywhere would have had a bad word to say about. Sweet Dreams xxx
West is best - have read your pm and will hopefully get in the post tonight when i take the little man out for a walk.
So sorry to hear about your father in law:(and completely understand you saying that you are pleased that he passed away peacefully, sending you hugs xxxBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

They do have crisps and chocolate and anything you want to drink but I was trying to be good diet wise. Until I got home and ate half an easter egg

bensonsmum I know exactly what you mean and I'm glad for you, if that's the right word. When my mum went it was absolutely time, and it would have been cruel to keep her with us for any longer. I'm glad it was peaceful, and will be thinking of you tonight. Big hugs.xx :AHope is not a strategy.0
