  • [QUOTE=jumblejack;52544673The brain scan was a CT scan to look for clots or tissue deterioration which might account for the state of mind. I was told it could take up to 48 hours for the results?!

On the way back from hospital and dropped on yet 3 MORE bags of Bramley apples at 15p a bag!!! Might have to freeze a few pies at this rate! :)[/QUOTE]

Sorry to hear about your mum JJ. It's encouraging that they seem to be doing the necessary to find out the cause and hopefully treat the symptoms ASAP. Can I assume they've screened her for a UTI already?

48hrs sounds fairly standard to me. Rest assured if the consultant sees anything untoward, I'm sure they'll tell you sooner. Hope she improves soon. x

Got a bit trouted today - entirely my fault, though. After reading about 4p items I went to my locals and scanned a few scarves, that came up as 4p. I got excited and scanned a couple of more. My happy scanning must have attracted too much attention (even though I do this every now and then) as one of the clothes SA's popped up behind me and said they couldn't sell 4p items. Played dumb, left the items with her. Most likely everything will have been taken out back and dealt with by now, but a few odd bits and pieces may linger. Am annoyed with myself, because I got carried away and should have kept a lower profile. :( On the other hand I went to another store and bought just two items - one 4p the other £1 - so am so tempted to go back to my local wearing them and see if I can sneak some 4p items too - though I doubt any of the ones I really wanted are there anymore.

If it helps anyone, even the stuff that was reduced to £3 or £2 is coming up as 4p. Or at least it was, in my local. HTH

(But not the £5 boots, sadly. I also scanned those. Yes, I'm an idiot... Sigh. :P )

had to laugh at this....i got tons of stuff...then thought I'd look a bit suss going through SS with it all...so hid a load and boutgh 17 items mixed in with my whoopsies....but I eas wearing my 4p scarf from last year....along with my 4p handbag :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Was gonna get some finest burgers tonight but the sel was £6 and that's what they scanned at :(

Got some whoopsied sausages , the missus brought a pack over and as I went to say have they got anymore she darted back over and picked another 2 packs up, so 3 packs for £1.35 as the multi-buy kicked in.
Also got some whoopsied mushrooms and the 3 for 2 kicked in.

Wombled some receipts out of the bin and some dirty git put his chewing gum in theirs  lucky my local express store don't ask for the receipt :D
Also wombled an A's receipt in T's too:)

I am to catch up shortly, I'm soooo far behind! :o

I just wanted to tell you all something... I was making my decision to smoke my final cigarette as I was driving home, and thinking I hope my Grandad can see me and would be proud (it was seeing him struggle to breathe in hospital that spurred me on even more)

Anyway, as I decided on the time I saw a beautiful rainbow...some may remember that at my Grandad's funeral I read a poem with my brother "Look for Me in Rainbows" so in my mind I know he's looking out for me and I am now even more determined! Silly some may say but it helps me feel better and closer to him....

So I would just like to proudly announce that as of now I am a NON SMOKER!! :j

    Fantastic Magicowen - that brought a lump to my throat :A :A Sounds nice doesn't it? I am a non-smoker ;);)
