Hi all, does anyone know if the new little tesco opening near me on Thursday will have any special deals on? Have the wee little ones to get looked after and wondering if it's worth the while going down at opening. There's been nothing special advertised. Thanks x0

Not a good day today for Lala:(she went to get her stitches out and was most upset to find that her wound still has not knitted together so therefore they were unable to take them out. They have told her total rest and not to move the arm to give it a chance to heal and want to see her back on thursday.
To cheer her up I took myself off to the local express to see if I could get her a few whoopsies as I knew this would help.Bingo:Tlots of lovely reduced easter bunches of flowers, also some satsumas which she has been eating a lot off.The kind SA also gave me a £4 off £30 spend so she was quite impressed with me as I had done this all by myself;)
Hope everyone is okay just going to read back as dont know where today has gone,:)
Such a shame Lala couldn't have her stitches removed but better to be safe than sorry, Thursday is not too far away and hopefully they will be removed then. I know how much Lala likes her flowers so she must have been ever so happy with the flower whoopsies..:)
Please say hello to her for me and tell her to take lots of care and REST her arm....xxBorn to glitch0 -

An express opened a couple of miles away from me 2 years ago. When it did we got a £2 off wys £6 MOC in the post
When an even closer Express opened last year we got nothing in the post at all but they had the same MOCs to give away at the till. A brilliant SA gave me a fistful of them on each of my first few visits. I split my shipping up into LOTS of £6 shops for a couple of weeks ;-)
Be on the look out for whoopsies too. Until they figure out their sales patterns they will have a lot of overstocked items to get rid of at silly prices. I got fabulous whoopsies for a couple of months and still get some crackers every now and then
The early days of an Express store are the best IMHO

Now, my DD's school shoes, bought from Clarks in Sept are splitting - the thread is unravelling between the laces and the front of the shoe, on both the left and the right. I am not impressed, so am thiiking of sending an email with a photo. Surely they should be strong enough to last more than 7 months? (In fact they started to come apart months ago so should have done it then!) What d'you all think?
I have a friend who told me once that a pair of her daughters Clarks shoes started falling apart a number of months after they were first bought. She took them into a store and had a moan up and they replaced them for a new pair there and then so defo worth a go I say!
I was impressed with the multi-quoting by the way Mrs J! I have not yet ventured into this territory myself yet so will have to give it a go sometime!0 -

Our latest drama involves me having a good scrub out of the loo (sorry, sounds like it was really grim in the first place, I did clean it but it was limescaled up so gave it a major scrub and got rid of all the limescale the other day). Anyway, she is now refusing to go to the loo. I put in a bloo type thing which I have now got rid of as thought that was the problem but to no avail. We have had numerous wet clothes and at nighttime dirty pull-ups coz she refuses to use the bathroom. I don't know what to do with her, she starts school in September
This morning she had a complete meltdown because she couldn't get all her cheerios submerged below the milk in her bowl. I'm concerned she's showing signs of OCD or even autistic tendencies but then socially she is absolutely fine? Am I just being a paranoid mother and she's a normal 3 year old or should I be concerned??
We had this problem with DS a loooong time ago. It had been a while since I had chance to properly clean the loo and he hated the sight of the clean loo. I really cannot remember how we solved it, it was so long ago, so I would guess we just rode it out.
Have you thought about getting her to help you to clean it. Maybe it looks so different that she is afraid something is in it, so if she helps you, even just squirting some "bleach" (maybe an empty bottle like you normally use but with water in it?) down it you might remove the mystery, and maybe if she watches you actually clean it she will realise there is nothing wrong.
Don't worry - our son uses the loo now (mind you, he is 25 :rotfl:)
As for starting school in September - it is a VERY long way off for a 3 year old. It might be worth putting her in pull-ups in the time being so she starts to realise what it feels like to be wet for a while, that might just change her mind.
She sounds like a normal 3 year old to me, and I have known far worse!!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I wouldn't worry too much. Three year olds are renowned for wanting things done as they think they should be. It is part of learning and growing up. Best to ignore it as much as you can. My grandchildren who are 4, 3 and 1 all behave like this to some degree.
Awful to say but you just have to persist with the toilet training. Try to play it down. The more she sees you getting upset, the worse she will become. Can't you make a game of it? Put her dolly on the toilet and make some little jokes about the doll having a poo and a wee. Just act silly until she laughs.0
