Just wanted to say that my year's supply of cleaning products from Mission Control arrived today.
No idea where to put it all.
Sorry I haven't been around much. Had lots going on with family health problems and just had the most awful news today. Feel quite numb, although I keep bursting in tears now but I only cry for about a minute and then stop. Can't be bothered to eat and have no patience with my children. They know something is wrong, but do I tell them what's happened, or do I try to play it down? DS is 11 and has a residential school trip coming up as well as SATS. DD is 7 and I think I could get away with not saying too much to her.
Sorry to be such a misery. Haven't been able to catch up on the thread as I can't think straight so I apologise if I haven't responded to anyone on here who may need support or kind words. x
Sorry you're having such a tough time. Children will pick up on you being unhappy but timing's got to be the key I think. If this news is likely to upset your DS greatly too then maybe it'd be best to wait until after his school trip. He might find it very difficult otherwise with being away from the family. I hope things improve for you. Take a couple of days to think about how they'll handle it and you'll do the best thing for your children. All the best CG. xGwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -
I would go and hide some behind some expensive items that dont sell well, so you wont be disappointed when someone else gets them all!
Well, some of the praline ones *ahem* may have inadvertently been mixed into the last row of the Caramel ones. Somehow. Maybe. Don't quote me on that ;-)anyakitten wrote: »Hi aau,
I think its because the Tesco Misprices Thread at the time was 11, and there was a "discussion" at the time about how chat/non chat. So the Tesco thread moved onto 12, and 11+ went "gone"
If I'm wrong though, someone feel free to correct me...
Also welcome back Elsie. Sorry you've been having a rubbish time, but glad Cookie is being a superstar xxx
Ah, I thought maybe there were originally 11 Elite that banded together and formed the thread. I figured it evolved to 11+ when more than 11 people were contributing regularly ;-)Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
I'm just heating up some ready meals and the instructions are sheer pants!
One of the components of the meal is not mentioned under the oven heating instructions at all and if you look at what it says under the microwave instructions it says "Place on a microwaveable plate. Stand for 2 minutes".
Excuse me? Put on a plate and stand? Shouldn't I MICROWAVE IT in between doing these two steps?
If I was to take the time and complain about their rubbish packaging/instructions do you think I would get anything in return as a thank you for helping them improve their product?
I've never come across anything like this before so I don't know if its worth the bother. Anyone any experience with similar?
And did anyone else think of FK when they read the words "sheer pants" at the top of the post? No? Just me? :rotfl:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

It's quite funny when people decide they don't like things. We had friends round once and the "male of the species" announced he did not like pumpkin (it as around October time). Well, I had a lovely pumpkin pie in the oven and I was not going to let on. Served it up after dinner (decided not to give them the second choice after what he said:)) and he had seconds :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I refused to tell them what it was until they had eaten it. The look on his face :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Evening all. Well done on the years supplies turning up. Hopefully anyone waiting on anything else gets it this week. I think SSM be glad to get it finished with.
Got call from Ts CS today.Explained to them my issue with local store. Much apologies given, store to be re-educated and a money card in the post. I will go to different Ts to spend it though.
I'm on their radar now.
Hope everyone is well and hoping for a better day tomo for anyone having a bad day.0 -
Evening all, need some advice from anyone able to help as I think I am about to lose the plot with DD
Our latest drama involves me having a good scrub out of the loo (sorry, sounds like it was really grim in the first place, I did clean it but it was limescaled up so gave it a major scrub and got rid of all the limescale the other day). Anyway, she is now refusing to go to the loo. I put in a bloo type thing which I have now got rid of as thought that was the problem but to no avail. We have had numerous wet clothes and at nighttime dirty pull-ups coz she refuses to use the bathroom. I don't know what to do with her, she starts school in September
This morning she had a complete meltdown because she couldn't get all her cheerios submerged below the milk in her bowl. I'm concerned she's showing signs of OCD or even autistic tendencies but then socially she is absolutely fine? Am I just being a paranoid mother and she's a normal 3 year old or should I be concerned??0 -
Big hugs to anybody who needs one.
Me please, can't remember if you are male or female, nothing extra untoward has happened today but I just feel in need of a big tight squeezy manly hug. So any volunteers ? Football tomorrow so I might be luckyjust hoping its just a run of the mill uneventful game

Not a good day today for Lala:(she went to get her stitches out and was most upset to find that her wound still has not knitted together so therefore they were unable to take them out. They have told her total rest and not to move the arm to give it a chance to heal and want to see her back on thursday.
To cheer her up I took myself off to the local express to see if I could get her a few whoopsies as I knew this would help.Bingo:Tlots of lovely reduced easter bunches of flowers, also some satsumas which she has been eating a lot off.The kind SA also gave me a £4 off £30 spend so she was quite impressed with me as I had done this all by myself;)
Hope everyone is okay just going to read back as dont know where today has gone,:)0
