Good morning all - I think the worst or the weather has passed us now we had horizontal gusting snow last night but it seems quite calm this morning and nothing has stayed but I believe it is moving southward so stay safe all.

We are going to Metrocentre later today as Hotel choc are having their easter party and we can collect couple of eggs from the giveaway. Also there is a new toyshop opened and are having a moshi monster swap session so daughter is hopeful of getting rid of some of her duplicates and I am booked in for the free l'occitane skin assessment and sample bag

    Have a great day all:)
  • No JTD in here (from Monday) either--

and I have done the BIGGEST gaf with a great whoopsie. We have a stressful few weekends with lots of family coming and I am doing the meals... In a moment of confusion, last night I got out the turkey (yes, whoopsied from Christmas) to be thawed for this Saturday.

Great. BUT, I just found out I had it the wrong way around- this weekend we are 7 and next weekend we are 20! ...better find something else to cook for next weekend :eek::mad::eek:
    turkey OEP anyone??? :rotfl:

As long as you have it in the fridge for defrosting, you can just put it straight back in the freezer. I know it might sound a bit odd, but on Radio 4 a few weeks ago, someone from the WRAP/Love Food Hate Waste site was talking about their "Freezer Myths" report, and this was one of the things they said.

I've done it a few times with chicken and I'm still alive. :)

Cook the turkey then carve it up and freeze it, will also save you time when you have a house full :)
BRILLIANT idea!! -and we'll be on the lookout for nearly free Easter eggs to do a big hunt in the garden... If I can cook it all before I might even have some fun !
    Thank you!! :j:T:j

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time if you come prepared for the weather! If you climb, you'll no doubt be kitted out safely. Easy to get away from it all, although getting to/from your base could be extremely busy with traffic. At least they've suspended some major roadworks over Easter!

One of my pet hates, is the tourist who doesn't understand the weather on the tops, gets into difficulties and then jeopordises the members of the MRT :(

    Have a lovely weekend :)

Oooh, one of mine too! Belong to a climbing club, but even the most experienced climbers/walkers get caught out or fall unexpectedly and the MRT teams are amazing people. Life savers.

:( about the traffic though - Easter weekend is always very busy on the roads and the snow will make things that much more difficult. Agree with Q o C - extra care for all those travelling over the next few days.

Four inches deep out and still falling heavily and the wind blowing like a hurricane.
Opened bag door snow blew in dog wont go out dont blame her.
She asleep at side of me on sofa.

    My parcel from Postie :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

8am phone rings its the Royal Mail saying my parcel had just been returned to sorting office for re-delivery.

So i then politely ;) tell guy i waited in all day yesterday for re-delivery. He couldnt help that blah blah blah  about procedures. I asked what it was .... white jiffy bag with no return address but wont fit through letter box. i know it wont.

Hope the day gets better :D seeing its only 8-34.

Please can someone spill the beans on what has happened to the JTD vouchers - there were some cryptic messages on the MOC chat thread so I went and read the Tescp price check rules and regs again but I could not see anything different.

I am not waiting for any but I do have one to use up in conjuction with conditional spends
