In my store today I went to the chocolate aisle, yes I know a fruitless and worthless effort to find reduced Easter eggs which I cant eat anyway. I did though spot boxs of Thorntons mint chocolates but the price checking machine was not working in my store  I didnt want to risk going through SS with them to check prices

I've never actually found anything for 1p in any store - I should really find the list or make an excel chart of items and barcodes. Now I've used up all of my conditional spends I can go back to doing small shops again

(got three of the £5 wys £40 left over but might not use unless there is a massive glitch this week or a huge JTD voucher to be had or a good MOC or even better a combination of all three)

The 1p Thorntons mints is the rectangular box larger than the square SEL £8 I think, on the front is an abstract Xmas Tree

That cracked me up! He was very impressed that you remembered him! :D
Still waiting on his wombles from yesterday coming back, take it we're not getting any today with it being a holiday?

Of course I remember him, I told you I'll have him on loan for a while, he sounds fun ;)

Just thought of a new plan for when we are not feeling ten foot tall & bulletproof, drop car keys in the SS till bin where the receipts are so you have to scramble around to find them & pick out the best till receipt

Long time lurker FINALLY caught up and actually managed to get some smie decent misprices today I thought might be worth posting. :j

First my kind Mr T had actually labelled some 1p items for me - the vintage rose napkins and cup had 1p sale stickers and were going through at this on the original barcodes
    th_April12040.jpg

Also am a little bit of a stationery junkie.... was scanning some 'just to check' and 2 packs came up lower than the SEL

    th_April12036.jpg
The fineliners had a SEL of 3.97 but scanned at 1.97

    th_April12034.jpg
The pilot ones had a SEL of 7.28 but scanned at 2.00. The rest of the V5 range in other colours scanned at full price.

It may just be that my store is slow at putting new SELs up.... but if not hth someone! Just sorry they aren't 1p......

Thanks to HappyChappy for his guide - I'm hoping the photos have worked and are small enough.....
Also thanks to all the regular posters - have been having a rough time (family related) and this thread has cheered me up each time I lurked!

Miss Laid. Fantastic pressie from your OH....nice to see one so supportive (Did he [STRIKE]nick[/STRIKE] borrow it from work?)

I'm yet to live down the fact I told him I actually uttered the famous "are you a friend of Martin's" to a complete stranger.
Wherever we've gone since, he and my son point people out as likely candidates for me to ask....They find it highly amusing and I'm sure it's going to be used against me at any opportunity :rotfl:
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

How did your whoopsey shopping go?

    :D:D:D

Brilliant thanks. Lots of fresh fruit and veg all 90% off, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes on and off the vine, pears, mandarins, figs, red spring onions, cucumbers, pak choi and raw beetroot. The fresh pasta bowls chicken and bacon etc and the cardboard boxed cold chicken meals like chilli chicken and noodles and the morrocan cous cous one, finest pea salad and cous cous. 12p loaves of hovis and even got hot cross buns 5p a pack as the BOGOF kicked in. :T

For 75% off got sushi, a curry, sliced beef and turkey, fridge is now overflowing. :o

Also got a Happy Easter chocolate log for 37p last one in one store but loads in the other with SEL of £1.50 still, long dates on them too. :j

And also found in the Easter aisle a pink spatula and balloon whisk on a clip strip scanning 49p, not sure what price was originally as no SEL. :)
