Wow, that's fantastic Kadison :j :j Hope you have good news at the docs tomorrow too :D

Alan back up from his nap now and I am going to wrap up warm and take the doggies out for a walk

Thank you, hope you have/had a nice walk x
Thats what I was thinking - sounds like a fab deal!!

Kadison - well done thats great!! :T:T I tried SW a few years ago and followed it just as I should but after 3 weeks I didn't lose anything  The club leader suggested maybe I had an underactive thyroid - I didn't really think much of it at the time but now years later I've been having blood tests which indicate I do have one - I've got one more test to go in a few weeks before my doc starts me on meds for it.

Thank you and I hope the treatment sorts things out for you chick xx

    would you reccomend slimmimg world?

Without hesitation, many people have come to my group from WW as they found it too difficult and too restrictive plus as my consultant told me, they are awful at bringing out new plans, i.e. you join and buy all the stuff, then six months later you have to start again because they completely change the plan!

There are a lot of people on here doing SW and they'd agree it's honestly the best plan around and it's so easy to do once you've grasped the basic concepts. Pop along to your nearest group and have a shuffty, you get a new member talk and you sit through the class, only then do you decide whether or not to join :D

I did 3 years teaching training for my degree so undertook 3 placements and I was lucky, all 3 were great with me being offered a job at the last one where I still I am.

But not everyone gets 3 good placements I knew students who had bad experiences and dropped out, some in their third year which is a real waste.

Tell her to keep in contact with the placement that offered her a position, is she close enough to perhaps do a bit of voluntary work there to keep her hand in? As in teaching it's often who you know and a personal reference that can jet you a job at the end of it.

I had a rubbish mentor in my second placement of my PGCE. There were other pressures that caused me to drop out but it certainly didn't help having an unsupportive mentor who seemed determined to make life difficult for me. Fortunately my mentor from college was lovely and said to contact them if I ever had second thoughts. A few years later I did just that and he managed to sort it for me that I only had to complete one last placement with my new college so one term on I was newly qualified! That was about ten years ago now but if people have faith in you they will do their best to help in my experience :)

Bored today but have a cunning plan for later. I'm gonna drive to my local T's and steal the bin..............well the bin bag from inside it anyway ;)

This made me :rotfl:As I thought I would have a nosey in a bin today as car park was pretty empty but it had a lovely clean bin bag in and one empty food carton. :(

Well done but ahem, what is a stone award??? lol

It's one of three things, pot luck really....
    1. You get handed an enormous stone, that's your reward
    2. You are allowed to smoke Mary Jane during the class
    3. You get stoned by the other members, with the consultant yelling "stop it, STOP IT! No-one is going to stone ANYONE until I blow this whistle!"
