Yesterday I had such a FANTASTIC MSE shopping day :j:j
I’m sorry I didn’t think this post would be so long and self indulgent but I wanted to share my excitement only bargain finding can bring, with you like minded folk :money:
I sold a pair of shoes on Ebay and the buyer asked if she could collect so I met her 1st. I ordered 2 pairs, unsure of the sizing, when they were reduced to £2. They sold for £18
Returned my 10 sun sprays from a goldie DTD.
Next stop Swarovski as a crystal keeps coming out of the ring I bought 18 months ago. I absolutely adore their jewellery but it's so overpriced. Luckily the 2 year guarantee is still valid so it's being repaired again. I said to the SA that next time I want a refund! She said NO! I can only have it repaired or exchange it:( (they don't sell it anymore and it matches a necklace Mum bought me)
Boots - 5 x Nice n Easy conditioners with SSM coupons
WHSmith - 8 cards before being stopped! Didn't get the 25% off though:( but I can't complain! I chose more expensive cards again this time, I think it means I'm sorted for all planned events this year including the birth of my cousin's baby girl in May and another cousin's wedding in September (wedding acceptance, congrats on your wedding day and a wedding day money wallet :rotfl::p) They ran out of the promotional giftcards but another SA went to ask the manager if they could use regular ones instead :jUnfortunately I didn't have all my promo ones with me so once I'd used the 2 I did have, I had to break into the non-promo ones I was buying. My total is now £197.61 :T(only £45 on promo) and I have about 60 cards (a lot of which are larger, dearer cards) I did 2 cards 1st then went back for 6 more. I was chatting to the SA (young girl) and said I might get a few more but as I walked away I overheard the other SA ask 'She wasn't buying giftcards with giftcards was she?!!' So I scarpered!
Nice free samples in Hotel Choc and Thorntons....hardly any eggs left in either!!!!!!!!
Back to T's to return a fair few items of clothing/boots I'd bought in the sale and hadn't the chance to try on instore. SA refunded me for the more expensive pair of jeans so an extra £1.50 off the items I kept :j
Then next T's to do my big shops.
Shop 1: JTD shop

J20 Orange & Passionfruit - £3/£2
Princes chicken & ham paste x 3 - £1.69/£1

Total paid = £2.32 (+ hopefully £7.61 JTD)
Shop 2: Non JTD shop
Mens suit jacket - £26 (ooops doesn't fit)
Bakers small dog 3kg x 2 - £12
Branston pickle 520g x 2 - £

- 5% DISCOUNT = £56.94
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=266705364
DTD of £59.94 given and it's a GOLDIE :j
I was umming and ahhing for ages over whether to go for DTD as CS guy had given me DTD before (albeit last summerYes I get worried, I'm sure I have one of 'those' faces!
) I'm so glad I did, he couldn't have been nicer....didn't even check the sel  just handed me it and said to his mate he couldn't be bothered :beer:So SEL still there....(QOC I'm pm'ing you in a sec
)
Everyone was queueing for whoopsies but they were no better than usual, definitely not crazy prices. I was too late at A's:( All I got was some nice ham for 10p for the dogs. M's returned something that took me over for a cond spend last week, again too late for whoopsies.
Then back to my M's and :j:j:j:j:jCouldn't believe it I was sure there would be nothing. Just as I got through the door at 8:15pm, an SA wheeled out a trolley of sandwiches with todays date, all 9p each. They're lovely sandwiches too, not what's normally left for whoopsies! So I had about 8 packs, clementines 25p, large bag carrots 25p, 2 whole rotisserie chickens 49p each, s/w turkey 9p, s/w filler 5p, 3 steak pies 5p each, 2 pizza express pizzas 9p each. And the best bit was that they'd cleared out the fresh to go salad bar... so I had 4 large tubs (usually £2.49) and 2 extra large trays (usually £2.99) for 54p. Total = £3.53 :j Gorgeous array of food too; oriental chicken noodles, mediterranean chicken pasta, potato salad with wholegrain mustard and sausageSo we're living off cold salads and sandwiches for a few days!
Onto my T's and all that was left was bakery whoopsies at 85% off. 2 loaves of finest crusty bread and a few packs of cakes came to 75p or 8p after a couple of wombles:D
Then home for a lie down :rotfl::rotfl:'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -
