Does your system have wires that you put in a hole? if you know what i mean or is is proper like little plugs? as had a similar problem with mine when we moved home and i had put the wires in the wrong holes as in the speaker wires were upside down, i know what im trying to say its just not coming out right lol xx

It's 6.35mm jacks and I've tried them in both the jack sockets, thanks.

Lutzi, have you used Google to try for a solution yet?

Just google the model number and the problem you have (e.g. no sound); you'll be amazed what turns up.

YouTube is, believe it or not, another awesome resource for finding/solving hardware problems. Just search on the main YouTube page for your model number. You may get a video showing a 'first out of the box setup' and you'll spot where you're going wrong (if it is you, of course). hth

    Hi all. :)

Thanks OldBear, I've tried both of those and no joy. You're absolutely right about YouTube, though, there's everything on there from techie stuff to unblocking drains!

Thank you all for your help, this thread is so great! :D xxx At least you're all confirming I've tried the sensible things I can before I send it back.
    Hope is not a strategy.
