  • Today I bought the £25 gift voucher from Harvey Nich0ls. Immediately I got the message from 4square about it. So, I am happy that it has tracked. This and the earlier £25 will make a nice little pressie for someone. I also collected the Ice Age 3 DVD given away free by O2 Priority Moments. It went into the Tombola box for breast cancer charity today.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi US - well done on your vouchers and 'gift haul'. :T

I've seen some other posts regarding free DVD's on Priority Moments... but nothing when I checked mine :( Oh well I did get a free choccie lolly from Hotel Chocolat this week... so not all bad :D

I wanted to stop by and let you know that I've had my first survey from PC and completed it ok. Thanks again btw. There is now money showing in my a/c dated a couple of days ago. Do you know how long it takes to be sent to paypal? Or do I have to wait for a minimum amount?

    Hi BW,

The £3 reward from PC is usually in PP a/c within a week. You will be getting an email stating that money is being transferred to your PP a/c. The last survey which I did on 18th was paid on 24th. HTH.

    Regards,
    US

  • For those who do not have the H@lifax Reward account, it is now the time to switch. They are offering £100 in addition to the monthly £5. Details here. HTH.

Have you ever switched before US? I am reluctant to switch as I'm happy with my bank (i.e. can get hold of them easily if I need to) and I can't be bothered switching the direct debits over myself. However, I realise I'm not getting a great deal on my current account!

Hope you don't mind me jumping in. I switched to Halifax a few years ago using their automatic switching service and it's really very easy and no fuss at all. I kept a copy of the details on my account so I could check but it went through with no problems

Daft, daft, daft question. Can I keep my existing account and open up Halifax? As in, could I place a standing order so my salary lands into Halifax account then take back whatever I need for direct-debits on my existing account?

    Did that make sense?

Ignore my last post - just looked at Halifax T&Cs (which I should have done in the first place!). The answer is no, I can't:(

    Hi Natty

I think (and feel free to correct me anyone if I'm wrong) to collect the £100 switching payment that you have to transfer your regular payments and DD's etc over. I think it may be possible to open the account without the £100 bonus as long as you pay in the required £1,000 a month. As far as I can tell some people just transfer it in from elsewhere each month and then back out again - and they still get the £5 'reward' each month.
