Hi there we had these discussions last year about some airports ie liverpool and east midlands allowing an extra bag in addition to your cabin luggage on Ryanair flights. We are flying from Leeds on Friday and wondered if anyone had flown from here recently and knows what the situation is? thanks for any help

Last time we flew from LB those with extra bags had to shove them into their hand baggage before being let through the gate. That was every bag.0

Why dont you read the Ryanair terms and conditions?
then you can decide whats best for you.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0 -
Just in case you're going to and flying back from Malta: all duty free purchases must go in your 1 hand luggage bag. The duty free store checks your boarding pass, and if its Ryanair they will not give you a carrier bag for your purchases. I guess that the duty free stores can take the hit in Malta as many other airlines fly from there (and none of them enforce this rule!) Whereas at East Midlands/Liverpool, a large chunk of the airport's passengers fly with Ryanair.0

because Ryanair has come to agreements with a few select airports (Liverpool/Manchester/East Midlands/Venice Treviso/Brussels Charleroi) where they allow an extra bag of shop purchases. They don't want to publicise it though as the overhead lockers on Ryanair flights are always jammed as it is.Why dont you read the Ryanair terms and conditions?

That was where we were going last time we flew from LB.0 -
thanks for the replies - antenna didn't seem to understand the question but that happens quite often so I tend to ignore most of what they say0

You can nore or ignore anyone you like........but the only person that matters is the one on the boarding gate,my mate, down the pub knows someone who's brother-in-law knew a man that once worked at the boarding gate for ryanair........you pay for the calls and i will try to get the definative answer from him
You could always speak/email ryanair.....but as it seems to be a closely guarded secret (trying to keep a straight face).....what airports allow this to happen i will not hold my breath waiting for your reply.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0
